A standard cabinet hinge assumes a 90-degree corner. When the cabinet face is angled outward at 15 degrees, a standard hinge will not close the door squarely or let it swing cleanly through the arc. This hinge is engineered for exactly that cabinet angle, so the door hangs flush and swings freely without fighting the geometry of the opening. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door at the standard depth, and the arm connects to a Salice base plate on the cabinet. That plate is ordered separately and must be a Salice plate matched to your cabinet construction, face-frame or frameless. Because this is a dowel-mount hinge, the cup presses into pre-bored 8mm dowel holes in the door rather than fastening with cup screws, which speeds the door loading step on a CNC-equipped production line.
