This is the left-hand drawer member from Grass America's 6600 series — a 21-5/8 inch (550mm nominal) almond epoxy-coated roller slide component sold as a single handed piece. It rides inside the matching 6600 cabinet member and forms the drawer-side half of one complete slide on the left side of the drawer.
Almond is a practical finish choice in cabinet interiors finished in bisque, antique white, or warm off-white melamine — materials common in traditional kitchen and bath work, closet systems built around natural wood tones, and period-style furniture pieces. In those environments, a white slide can read as noticeably cool or bright. The almond epoxy tone sits closer to the cabinet interior and simply disappears. If the shop's current run involves almond or warm-toned box interiors, this member matches without a workaround.
This is the drawer-side profile for the left side of one drawer. It screws to the bottom edge of the left drawer side and rides in the 6600 series left-hand cabinet member. To outfit a single drawer completely, you need four components: a left-hand cabinet member, a right-hand cabinet member, this left-hand drawer member, and a right-hand drawer member. All four must come from the 6600 series — sockets, members, and components from the 6610 or any other series are not interchangeable. The 6600 series also uses series-specific rear sockets in face-frame installations; those are a separate item.
Cabinet shops and millwork operations running production lines are the primary buyers here. Ordering by individual member rather than by complete sets means the shop controls its own inventory balance — more left-hand drawer members, fewer right-hand cabinet members, or whatever the run actually calls for. It also suits replacement work: a damaged or missing member does not require a full slide replacement if the rest of the set is intact. Finish-sensitive contracts where the almond interior spec is fixed benefit from the member-level buy as well, since it keeps color consistency without overstocking complete sets in a finish that may not carry to the next job.
The Grass 6600 series incorporates 86mm of self-closing action built into the slide assembly. That self-close is a mechanical ramp, not a damper — it pulls the drawer fully home once the drawer is pushed within range. It is self-closing, not soft-close, and there is no additional mechanism to order separately.
No. The 6600 and 6610 are separate Grass series with different profiles and series-specific sockets. Use 6600 members only with 6600 cabinet members and 6600 rear sockets.
At 3/4 extension, the rear few inches of the drawer remain inside the cabinet at full open. This is the standard Euro slide travel class, not full access to the back of the drawer — plan the drawer contents and depth accordingly.
The Grass 6600 series suits drawer sides from 1/2 inch (12.7mm) to 3/4 inch (19mm) thick.
Yes. In face-frame cabinets the slide's back end needs support from a series-specific rear socket, sold separately. In frameless cabinets the slide mounts directly to the panel and no socket is required.
When the cabinet interior calls for almond and the job needs production-level member control, this 6600 series left-hand drawer member gives the shop exactly the component it needs — correct finish, correct hand, correct series — without overstocking.
