Omega National 42 Inch Alder Omni Wall Mount Range Hood

Alder Wood Character And a 42-Inch Fit for Wider Cooktop Runs

This Omega National Omni wall mount range hood is a decorative alder wood shell sized at 42 inches wide by 42 inches tall, designed to frame a wider cooktop and integrate with the surrounding cabinetry. A Broan-compatible liner is included so the shell is ready to accept a Broan ventilation unit, ordered separately.

Key Features

• Alder wood construction brings natural grain and texture that takes stain or paint consistently across the surface.
• 42 inches wide by 42 inches tall suits wider cooktop installations where a standard 30-inch or 36-inch shell would fall short.
• Omni series wall mount design positions the shell against the wall above the cooking surface.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the shell arrives ready to receive a compatible Broan ventilator.
• Unfinished and ready-to-finish so stain, paint, or a custom topcoat can be applied to match the kitchen.

Built for a Wider Kitchen, Finished Your Way

A 42-inch hood commands a broader presence above the range, and the Omni shell is proportioned to cover that span without looking undersized against wide cabinetry runs or professional-style cooktops. Alder is a close-grained hardwood that machines cleanly and absorbs finish evenly, which makes it a practical choice for custom color or stain work. Because the shell arrives unfinished, the finisher controls the final color, sheen, and species match to the surrounding cabinets. A painted finish reads crisply on alder's smooth surface; a stained finish picks up the natural grain without extreme color variation.

The Shell, the Liner, and the Ventilator

This product is the decorative wood enclosure and the included Broan-compatible liner. It does not include a blower, a filter, or any air-moving components. The liner that ships with the shell is sized and configured to accept a compatible Broan ventilation unit, which is selected separately based on cooktop output and local ventilation requirements. The shell provides the look; the ventilator provides the function. Both are needed for a complete installation.

Where This Shell Fits Best

This shell suits kitchen projects where the cooktop runs 42 inches or where the design calls for a hood presence wider than the appliance itself. Cabinet shops finishing an alder or paint-grade kitchen benefit from the species match and the unfinished surface that lets the hood coat out identically to the cabinet doors. Designers specifying a custom or semi-custom kitchen use the unfinished shell to hold a client's chosen finish rather than working around a prefinished color. For a wide island or range with a strong focal-point role, the 42-inch width gives the hood the visual weight to anchor the wall.

Common Questions

The Right Shell for a Wide, Custom Kitchen

When the cooktop is wide, the cabinetry is alder or paint-grade, and the finish needs to match the room exactly, this 42-inch Omni shell gives the project a properly scaled hood that coats out on the installer's terms.
