Edgebanding & Surfacing
Edgebanding is a finishing process used to cover and seal the exposed edges of panels, such as those made from plywood, MDF, or particleboard, to enhance their durability and appearance. This technique involves applying a thin strip of material, typically made from PVC, wood veneer, or polyester, to the edges of a panel, effectively concealing raw edges and creating a seamless, polished look. Edgebanding not only improves the aesthetic appeal of furniture and cabinetry by providing a uniform and finished edge but also protects against moisture, wear, and damage, contributing to the longevity and quality of the finished product.
