The Salice Series F is a concealed thick-door hinge built for full overlay doors up to 1-1/2 inches thick, on both face-frame and frameless cabinets, with a free-swinging action that lets the door stay exactly where you leave it.
A standard 35mm cup bored into a thick door either breaks through the face or fails to seat properly. The Series F sidesteps that problem entirely: it bores into a 40mm cup hole at a 52mm pattern, the geometry engineered for doors in the thick-door range. The 94 degree opening is not a compromise. On a thick door, that angle is what keeps the door edge from clipping the cabinet front as it swings, so the geometry works correctly where a wider swing would cause contact. The hinge arm clips to a base plate mounted on the cabinet, which is ordered separately and matched to your cabinet construction.
The hinge is steel in a nickel finish, the same durable base material as the rest of the Salice line. Free-swinging hardware takes more casual handling than a spring-loaded hinge, since there is nothing to catch the door at the end of the swing. The screw-on connection holds the plate firmly through repeated use, which matters when a thick, heavier door is cycling through the cabinet day after day.

The 94 degree angle is correct engineering for a thick door. A thicker door needs a tighter swing to clear the cabinet face without making contact. The reduced angle is a design fit, not a limitation.
A free-swinging hinge has no spring or damper. The door stays wherever you position it and will not close on its own. A self-close hinge uses a spring to pull the door shut over the last few degrees. If you need the door to close automatically, choose a self-close or soft-close version of this series.
Yes. The hinge arm connects to a base plate that mounts to the cabinet, and that plate is sold separately. Use Salice plates matched to this series and your cabinet type. Plates from other brands are not compatible with Salice arm geometry.
This hinge is designed for thick doors. For doors in the standard 16 to 22mm range, a standard Series 200 or Series 700 hinge with a 35mm cup is the right choice. The 40mm cup and 52mm bore on this hinge are sized for thick stock.
