A Bisque Powder-Coat Ventilator Built for Wood Hood Installations

This Air-Pro BUF-021 series power pack is a ventilation unit designed to fit inside a compatible wood hood shell, delivering air-moving performance in a Bisque powder-coat finish that disappears into cream and warm-toned kitchen palettes.

Key Features

• Bisque powder-coat finish coordinates with cream, off-white, and warm-toned kitchen cabinetry.
• Three blower speeds rated at 390 CFM high, 290 CFM medium, and 180 CFM low for matched output by cooking task.
• Rated for cooktops up to 40,000 BTU, covering most residential ranges and dual-fuel configurations.
• Halogen task lighting built into the unit to illuminate the cooking surface.
• Dishwasher-safe grease filter simplifies maintenance without specialty cleaning.
• 7-sone noise rating at high speed, with quieter operation available at medium and low.

Putting the Air-Moving Hardware to Work

A wood range hood shell frames the cooktop and ties into the surrounding cabinetry, but it does not move air on its own. This power pack is the working component: it mounts inside the compatible hood shell and pulls smoke, steam, and cooking odors away from the range. Three speed settings let the blower scale to the task, running low during a gentle simmer and stepping up to full output for a hard sear or high-heat cooking that generates heavier smoke and grease-laden air. For cooktops running up to 40,000 BTU, this unit is sized for the load.

Finish, Filter, and Light

The Bisque powder-coat finish is the practical reason to choose this variant over other finishes in the BUF-021 family. Kitchens with cream-colored or warm off-white appliances often carry that palette into the hood, and a Bisque-finished power pack keeps the liner from reading as a contrast element against the surrounding woodwork or cabinetry. The dishwasher-safe grease filter handles cleanup in a normal cycle rather than requiring hand scrubbing, and the integrated halogen light puts direct illumination on the cooking surface rather than relying on overhead ambient light alone.

Where This Unit Fits Best

This power pack suits a kitchen renovation or new build where a wood hood shell has been specified and the cooktop runs up to 40,000 BTU. It is the right choice when the surrounding appliances or cabinetry are in Bisque or a warm off-white, and the goal is a cohesive liner color rather than a visible contrast inside the hood. Cabinet shops building custom hoods, designers coordinating appliance finishes, and contractors completing a hood installation all benefit from selecting the liner finish alongside the shell species and surrounding hardware. The unit dimensions, at 28-7/16 inches wide and 18-3/16 inches deep with a 17-1/2 by 11-13/16 inch hole size, are the fit specs to confirm against the shell before ordering.
