Grass self-close face-frame hinges give you a concealed cabinet hinge solution for face-frame construction, so doors close to the same position every time with hardware hidden from view. This hinge is a one piece hinge and base plate combination, which simplifies layout because the hinge and mounting plate are fixed together from the factory. The hinge is part of the concealed cabinet hinges class, so it keeps the cabinet front clean while still handling regular door use. The product provides 2-dimensional adjustment, letting you fine-tune door alignment after installation instead of chasing perfect positioning in one step. The hinge is designed for overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater, so it supports larger overlay doors used on many face-frame runs. The product is finished in nickel, which matches common cabinet hardware finishes.
This Grass concealed cabinet hinge uses an 11 mm (7/16 inch) cup drilling depth, so door boring depth is defined for standard machining setups. The design as a one piece hinge and base plate combination means the cup and frame connection stay matched, which helps keep overlay and reveal consistent on multiple doors. Height adjustment at mounting screw gives a built-in way to shift the door vertically on the frame, which is useful when face-frames are slightly out of level. The hinge supports overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater, so the same part number can be used across many doors on a job where the overlay is in that range.
The TEC 863 45MM variable overlay hinge is designed for face-frame cabinets requiring overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater, so it suits many overlay kitchen and bath layouts. As a concealed face frame hinge, it hides behind the door, which keeps the cabinet front clean in residential or commercial work. The self-close function in this Grass self-close face-frame hinges product pulls the door shut at the end of travel, which supports consistent door closing without an exposed catch. The one piece hinge and base plate combination construction works well in production or multi-door projects, since installers repeat the same boring and frame locations instead of mixing separate plates. The hinge is part of the Grass America line, which aligns with shops that standardize on this brand for match across projects.
The 2-dimensional adjustment built into this hinge lets you refine door position after mounting, which helps straighten reveals when frames or doors are slightly off. Height adjustment at mounting screw creates a simple vertical adjustment method, so installers can shift a door up or down by turning screws rather than remounting the hinge. The defined 11 mm (7/16 inch) cup drilling depth gives a repeatable boring spec, which helps CNC or jig-based drilling produce doors that hang consistently. When overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater are required, the hinge geometry supports that coverage, which helps keep gaps uniform across a run. The available 85 degree angle reduction clip limits opening angle, which is useful where a full swing could contact adjacent cabinets or walls.
The hinge is a concealed face frame hinge, so it is used on face-frame cabinet constructions where the frame sits in front of the box.
The hinge is designed for overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater, so it works with larger overlay doors that cover more of the face-frame front.
The hinge uses an 11 mm, or 7/16 inch, cup drilling depth, which gives a clear boring target for consistent door machining.
The hinge provides 2-dimensional adjustment plus height adjustment at mounting screw, so door position can be tuned in-plane and vertically after installation.
It means the hinge and base plate are built as a single unit, which keeps geometry fixed and helps speed repeat installs on multiple doors.
The 85 degree angle reduction clip is available when a reduced opening angle is needed, such as near walls or adjacent cabinets that sit close to the door edge.
The TEC 863 variable overlay hinge from Grass America brings a one piece hinge and base plate combination, 2-dimensional adjustment, and height adjustment at mounting screw together for face-frame work. With an 11 mm cup drilling depth and support for overlays 1-7/16 inches and greater, it fits many overlay layouts. An available 85 degree angle reduction clip extends its use into tighter corner locations. For projects built around concealed cabinet hinges on face-frames, this Grass self-close face-frame hinges option offers defined drilling and adjustment details for repeatable cabinet installations.
