This is a complete 22-inch LEGRABOX M-height drawer system from Blum, finished in Orion Gray Matte and equipped with integrated BLUMOTION soft-close. It delivers a 125 lb rated full-extension platform for kitchen, bath, and storage cabinetry where a coordinated interior finish matters as much as motion performance.
The M-height LEGRABOX lands in the sweet spot for kitchen base cabinet drawers. The 90.5mm side profile is tall enough to keep a full complement of utensils, spices, or pantry goods upright and visible, but it does not demand the cabinet depth that an F-height or gallery-railed configuration would. In a 22-inch-deep base cabinet, this system uses the depth efficiently and leaves room for a properly fitted drawer front without eating into the usable interior. It also suits bath vanities with deeper boxes, closet storage for folded goods, and workshop cabinetry where a clean appearance and reliable motion matter alongside load capacity. The Orion Gray Matte color makes it a natural fit for cabinetry finished in dark laminates, two-tone kitchens with contrasting interiors, or any build where the visible drawer interior is part of the design intent.
Orion Gray Matte is Blum's coordinated interior color for the LEGRABOX platform, and it is worth selecting deliberately rather than defaulting to white. Where a Silk White interior reads as neutral-light, Orion Gray reads as intentionally dark — a tone that pairs well with walnut, graphite, and deep-stained cabinet work without showing the smudges that a high-gloss surface would. The steel side profiles are formed with double walls, so the interior face is smooth and the exterior is clean; there are no exposed fastener heads on the finished drawer. BLUMOTION soft-close is built into the runner, not added as a separate clip-on damper, so the system requires no secondary installation step and the damping behavior is factory-calibrated for the platform's load range. At 125 lb capacity, this system handles the heavy end of residential kitchen loads without needing a heavy-duty designation.
Cabinet shops specifying a dark or two-tone interior finish reach for Orion Gray specifically because it is the LEGRABOX color that holds its own against stained wood and dark laminate. Designers working on modern or transitional kitchens appreciate that the gray reads as a design choice, not a utilitarian default. Contractors replacing or upgrading drawer systems in an existing LEGRABOX installation order it to match what is already there. The 22-inch nominal length suits standard 24-inch-depth base cabinets — the most common residential kitchen configuration — so this SKU covers the majority of base cabinet drawer positions in a single specification.
Yes. Orion Gray Matte is Blum's specific color designation for the LEGRABOX platform — a warm, medium-dark gray with a matte surface. It is not interchangeable with generic gray finishes and is matched across LEGRABOX components and AMBIA-LINE organization accessories in the same color.
LEGRABOX uses steel side profiles in place of wood drawer sides — you supply the bottom panel and front. The bottom must be cut to Blum's published formula for this system; check the LEGRABOX planning guide for the exact cutting dimension at 550mm nominal length.
No. BLUMOTION provides the soft-close damping on closing. Push-to-open (TIP-ON or TIP-ON BLUMOTION) is a separate accessory. This system closes softly but opens by pulling the front — or by adding the appropriate TIP-ON unit if you need handle-free operation.
Yes. AMBIA-LINE is Blum's organization line for LEGRABOX drawers, and the M-height system is one of the standard heights the AMBIA-LINE program is built around. Confirm insert width against your drawer's interior dimension before ordering.
No. This is the drawer system — side profiles, runners with BLUMOTION, and the structural components. The drawer front is supplied and finished by the installer. Front fixing brackets are required and sold separately; confirm the bracket series matches this M-height system.
The 22-inch LEGRABOX M-height system in Orion Gray Matte delivers the full-extension travel, 125 lb capacity, and factory-calibrated BLUMOTION soft-close that production cabinet work demands, wrapped in a finish that makes the interior of the cabinet a deliberate design element rather than a hidden afterthought.
