This is the Blum LEGRABOX C Height complete drawer system in Orion Gray Matte, an 18 inch (450mm) full-extension unit with integrated BLUMOTION soft-close and a 170 lb static load rating. It is a full engineered platform — steel double-walled sides, runners, and front fixings designed as one system — sized for the deep storage drawers where pots, pantry goods, and heavy kitchen tools actually live.
The C Height profile at 177mm is the right call for drawers that need real storage volume without reaching into the full-height F profile territory. Think base cabinet drawers holding dry goods, cleaning supplies stacked two-deep, or a lower drawer in a tall pantry column. At 18 inches of nominal length with full-extension travel, everything stored at the back of the box comes fully into reach — no reaching blind into the cabinet. The 170 lb capacity means the system handles a fully loaded pull-out without deflection or premature wear on the runners.
Production cabinet shops running Blum platforms will find this the straightforward choice for mid-height base cabinet drawers in frameless construction. Kitchen designers specifying handleless fronts can pair this system with TIP-ON BLUMOTION for a handle-free run while keeping the damped close. Homeowners renovating existing frameless cabinets can replace a worn slide-and-box combination with a system that brings the drawer up to current motion standards.
The side profiles are steel, double-walled, with the BLUMOTION damping mechanism integrated into the runner rather than added as a separate clip-on. That construction keeps the side profile slim while hiding every mechanical component from the interior view. The Orion Gray Matte finish runs through the full LEGRABOX line, so the color carries across side profiles, front fixings, back panels, and AMBIA-LINE organization inserts ordered in the same finish. The result is a drawer interior that looks specified rather than assembled from parts.
LEGRABOX mounts directly to the cabinet side on the 32mm system grid, making it a natural fit for frameless construction. The front fixing brackets and back panel are ordered separately and must be LEGRABOX-compatible components — components from other Blum platforms or other brands do not interchange with this system. Build the drawer bottom to the system's published cutting formula for the 450mm nominal length, and use 16mm (5/8 inch) or 19mm (3/4 inch) drawer sides as the system specification requires. For face-frame cabinet installations, confirm the appropriate rear mounting bracket for this nominal length before ordering.
C Height is Blum's designation for the 177mm (7 inch) side profile. It sits between the lower M height and the taller F height in the LEGRABOX line. Choose C Height for drawers where pantry depth or heavier stacked storage calls for more volume than a flatware or cutlery drawer but the cabinet layout does not have room for the tallest profile.
It is fully integrated into the runner on this system. No separate BLUMOTION clip or damper is needed — the damping is part of the unit as delivered.
No. This is the side profile and runner system. You supply the drawer front and cut the bottom and back to the system's published dimensions. Front fixing brackets and a back panel are ordered as separate LEGRABOX components.
Yes. AMBIA-LINE is the interior organization line engineered for LEGRABOX drawers, and Orion Gray Matte AMBIA-LINE components match this system's finish. Confirm the AMBIA-LINE insert dimensions against the 450mm nominal length and C Height profile before ordering.
LEGRABOX is designed for frameless construction with direct side-wall mounting. Face-frame installations require specific rear mounting brackets. Verify the correct bracket for this nominal length with your Blum reference before building.
When the drawer holds real weight, gets opened dozens of times a day, and needs to look finished inside a designed kitchen, the LEGRABOX C Height in Orion Gray Matte delivers the structure and the motion to back it up. Specify it once and the drawer keeps working.
