This AvanTech YOU left-hand drawer side profile from Hettich brings the 500mm nominal length and 101mm side height to cabinetry projects where an Anthracite interior finish is the specification. It is a steel side member that forms the structural left wall of one AvanTech YOU drawer, engineered to work within the AvanTech YOU platform alongside its matched runners, front fixings, and accessories.
The 500mm nominal length targets base cabinets in the 550–600mm depth range, which covers the majority of residential kitchen lower-cabinet runs and bathroom vanity drawers. At 101mm, the side height suits cutlery, utensil, and general storage drawers where a slim profile keeps the drawer proportionate to the front panel. Shops building out a run of dark-interior handle-less cabinets will find this profile keeps every visible surface — runner, side, fixing — in the same Anthracite tone rather than mixing finish families mid-install.
The profile is formed steel, giving it the rigidity to carry the drawer load as a structural side rather than relying on a wood box for stiffness. Anthracite on the AvanTech YOU line is a consistent finish across side profiles, front fixings, cover caps, and runners, so a fully coordinated Anthracite interior is achievable by specifying the same finish code across all AvanTech YOU components. Shops should note that finish coordination is specific to the AvanTech YOU line — Anthracite profiles from other Hettich series are not confirmed to be a visual match without a side-by-side comparison.
Cabinet shops running AvanTech YOU as their production drawer system will order this profile in volume as the left-hand member for every 500mm Anthracite drawer in the run. Kitchen designers specifying dark-interior, handle-less kitchens use the Anthracite finish to tie the drawer interior to door and frame colors. Contractors replacing a damaged side member on an existing AvanTech YOU installation can source this profile as the left-hand replacement without pulling the full drawer set. In all three cases, the buying decision starts with confirming nominal length (500mm here), side height (101mm), and handedness (left) before adding to the order.
This is one side profile — the left-hand structural wall of the drawer. A working AvanTech YOU drawer also requires the right-hand side profile, runners, front fixing brackets, a back, and a bottom panel. Those components are sold separately within the AvanTech YOU system.
Handedness is determined from the front of the cabinet looking in — this profile mounts on the left side of the drawer box. Order the right-hand version for the opposite side. Ordering two of this SKU gives you two left-hand profiles, which will not form a working drawer pair.
No. AvanTech YOU components — runners, front fixings, cover caps, and brackets — are engineered for the AvanTech YOU platform. They are not interchangeable with other Hettich series or other brands.
Within the AvanTech YOU line, Anthracite is a consistent finish across profiles, runners, and fixings. Cross-brand or cross-series color matching is not confirmed — compare samples if finish continuity outside the AvanTech YOU system matters to the project.
The 500mm nominal length is the system's designation for the component, not the finished interior drawer depth. Check Hettich's AvanTech YOU installation specification for the required cabinet depth and drawer box cutting dimensions for this nominal length.
Specifying every AvanTech YOU component in Anthracite from the start is the straightforward path to a finished interior that reads as one system — and this left-hand side profile is the structural starting point for each drawer in that run.
