Omega National 30 Inch Walnut Omni Range Hood

A Walnut Wood Hood Shell for a Wall-Mount Kitchen Focal Point

The Omega National Omni range hood is a decorative walnut wood shell, 30 inches wide and 42 inches tall, designed for wall-mount installation. It arrives ready to finish so it can be stained or clear-coated to bring out the walnut grain, and it ships with a Broan-compatible liner already included.

Key Features

• Walnut wood construction provides a rich, open grain that takes stain or a natural finish in any direction the design calls for.
• Omni series styling brings a clean wall-hood silhouette suited to transitional and contemporary kitchens.
• 30-inch width and 42-inch height fit a standard 30-inch cooktop run with visual presence from countertop to upper cabinet.
• Wall-mount position installs against the wall above the range or cooktop rather than beneath a cabinet soffit.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the ventilator housing is ready for the ventilation unit, ordered separately.
• Ready-to-finish surface lets the finisher apply stain, paint, or clear coat after installation for a custom, kitchen-matched result.

What This Hood Shell Does in the Kitchen

This is the woodwork half of a complete range hood installation. The Omni shell provides the visual mass above the cooktop, the frame that turns a ventilation unit into a design statement rather than a utility appliance. Walnut's open grain and natural warmth make it one of the more expressive species in a kitchen, and the ready-to-finish surface means the final color and sheen are decided at the job site, matched to the surrounding cabinetry or countertop as the design develops. The included Broan-compatible liner bridges the shell to the ventilation unit, so the air-moving hardware seats correctly inside the wood body once it arrives.

Species, Finish Prep, and Build Quality

Walnut is a hardwood with a pronounced, open-grain figure that reads differently under a dark stain than under a natural or oil finish. That flexibility makes it a good candidate for kitchens where the hood is a deliberate focal point rather than a background element. Because the shell ships unfinished, the finisher controls the outcome entirely, from a light natural to a deep espresso, without being locked into a factory color. The Omni series hood body is sized to work at wall-mount scale, covering the run between countertop height and the upper cabinet line at a proportional 42-inch height.

Who This Is For and Where It Fits

This shell suits a cabinet shop, designer, or contractor specifying a custom kitchen where the hood treatment needs to match a specific walnut species or finishing system already in use on the cabinetry. Homeowners doing a renovation who want a wood hood they can finish themselves will find the ready-to-finish surface practical. The 30-inch width aligns with standard 30-inch range and cooktop positions on a wall. Because the shell is the decorative enclosure only, the ventilation unit that moves the air is selected and ordered separately to match the cooktop output and the duct configuration of the space.

The Right Shell When Walnut Is the Wood
