Omega National 36 Inch Cherry Omni Wall Mount Range Hood

36-Inch Cherry Hood Shell For Wall-Mount Cabinetry Installations

This Omega National Omni wall-mount range hood is a decorative cherry wood shell, 36 inches wide and 42 inches tall, supplied ready-to-finish with a Broan-compatible liner included so the decorative and mechanical sides of the installation come together cleanly.

Key Features

• Cherry wood construction provides a tight, consistent grain that takes stain and finish exceptionally well.
• 36 inches wide by 42 inches tall for a substantial presence above the cooktop on a standard kitchen wall run.
• Wall-mount position designed to anchor against the wall above the range or cooktop.
• Ready-to-finish so the shell can be stained or painted to coordinate with surrounding cabinetry after delivery.
• Broan-compatible liner included to accept a compatible Broan ventilation insert, selected separately to suit the cooktop.
• Omega National Omni series with a classic proportioned profile suited to traditional and transitional kitchen designs.

What the Shell Does in the Kitchen

A wood range hood installation has two distinct parts: the decorative enclosure that frames the space above the cooktop, and the mechanical unit that actually moves the air. This product is the enclosure. The Omni shell creates the visible architecture of the hood, reading as a natural extension of the surrounding cabinetry rather than a standalone appliance. At 36 inches wide, it covers a standard single-range position with room to make a visual statement on the wall. The 42-inch height gives the proportions a traditional weight that works well with full-height upper cabinets or open wall runs. The Broan-compatible liner ships with the shell, so the mounting interface for the ventilation unit is already in place when the shell arrives on the job.

Cherry Wood and the Finishing Process

Cherry is a closed-grain hardwood with a warm reddish-brown tone and a fine, even texture that responds predictably to oil-based and water-based finishing systems. It deepens and enriches with exposure over time, which is a characteristic most designers and cabinet shops use intentionally when specifying it. Because this shell ships unfinished, the finishing step happens on-site or in the shop, giving the finisher full control over the final stain color, sheen level, and topcoat system. That flexibility makes it practical to match the hood to an existing cabinet finish or a new run being built alongside it. Cherry is among the more color-consistent species Omega offers, so blending the hood into a cherry cabinet set is straightforward when working from the same finishing batch.

Who Specifies This Hood and Where It Fits

Cabinet shops and kitchen designers who are building or refacing a traditional or transitional kitchen in cherry will find this shell a direct fit when the wall run accommodates a 36-inch hood. The ready-to-finish state suits shops that finish in-house and want the hood to match the door and drawer fronts from the same spray batch. Custom home builders specifying finish carpentry above a gas or electric range can pair this shell with a compatible Broan ventilation unit sized to the cooktop output. The 36-inch width also works for designers who are centering the hood over a 30-inch or 36-inch range and want additional visual width to anchor the wall. Because the liner is already included, the installation side is one fewer coordination step.
