Omega National 48 Inch Alder Omni Wall Mount Range Hood

A 48-Inch Alder Hood Shell For Wide Cooktop Installations

This Omega National Omni wall mount range hood is a 48-inch decorative alder wood shell designed to frame wide cooktop and range installations. It arrives unfinished and includes a Broan-compatible liner, so it can be finished to match the surrounding cabinetry and fitted with a compatible ventilation unit.

Key Features

• 48-inch width and 42-inch height suit wider range and cooktop configurations that need a proportionate hood presence.
• Clear alder construction accepts stain or paint and finishes to match the surrounding cabinet suite.
• Omni series design offers a clean wall-mount profile that complements contemporary and transitional kitchen styles.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the ventilation insert can be sourced and sized to suit the cooktop without a separate liner order.
• Wall-mount position installs against the wall above the cooking surface rather than requiring ceiling or island support.
• Unfinished wood allows the finisher to apply any approved stain, paint, or topcoat system after installation.

Built for Wide Ranges and Statement Kitchens

A 48-inch hood shell covers the kind of wide range or dual-fuel cooktop where a narrower hood would look out of proportion. At 42 inches tall, the Omni also carries enough vertical presence to anchor the wall run and hold its own against floor-to-ceiling cabinetry on either side. The wall-mount configuration keeps the installation straightforward: the shell mounts against the wall, the liner seats inside, and the ventilator drops into place. Kitchens with a strong horizontal emphasis or open shelving flanking the range benefit from the wider footprint, since the hood reads as a furniture-scale element rather than an appliance insert.

Alder Wood, Ready for Your Finish

Alder is a fine-grained hardwood that takes stain evenly and paints cleanly, which makes it a practical choice when the goal is a finished hood that integrates with the cabinet color or stain rather than contrasting with it. The clear alder used here means the shell arrives without pre-applied color, so the shop or finisher controls the result. Stain matching to an existing suite, a painted finish to coordinate with a two-tone kitchen, or a clear topcoat to show the natural grain are all on the table. Because this product is unfinished, the final appearance depends on the finishing system applied on site.

The Right Fit For Designers and Cabinet Shops

Cabinet shops specifying a range hood for a wide custom kitchen will find the included liner a useful starting point: it eliminates one sourcing step and ensures the liner and shell are coordinated. Designers working on transitional or modern kitchens can specify the Omni for its clean lines, then call out the finish in their own spec. Homeowners completing a renovation with a 48-inch range or dual-fuel cooktop get a hood that scales to the appliance and gives the kitchen a finished, built-in look. Because the shell is the decorative enclosure and not the ventilator, the mechanical ventilation unit is chosen and ordered separately to match the cooktop output and the duct configuration of the space.

Common Questions

A Wide, Finished Hood That Belongs in the Cabinetry

Specify this 48-inch alder shell when the kitchen calls for a wall-mount hood that scales to a wide range, finishes to match the surrounding cabinets, and arrives with the liner already included so the ventilator installation can move forward without an extra sourcing step.
