Omega National 48 Inch Walnut Omni Range Hood

48-Inch Wood Hood Shell for Wide Cooktop Installations

This Omega National Omni wall mount range hood is a decorative walnut wood shell, 48 inches wide and 42 inches tall, built to frame a wide cooktop run and integrate with the surrounding cabinetry. A Broan-compatible liner is included so the shell is ready to accept a compatible ventilation unit.

Key Features

• 48-inch width and 42-inch height suit wide cooktop runs where a narrower hood would look undersized.
• Walnut wood shell delivers a rich, distinctive grain character not available in painted or laminate alternatives.
• Omni series wall mount design positions the hood against the wall above the cooking surface.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the shell arrives ready for a compatible ventilation unit, ordered separately.
• Ready-to-finish construction allows the shell to be stained or finished to match the kitchen's cabinetry and design.

What a Wide Walnut Hood Shell Does in a Kitchen

A 48-inch hood shell covers the full width of a wide range or a dual-fuel cooktop and gives the focal wall above the cooking surface a sense of scale and presence. Walnut brings that naturally with its deep, varied grain, so the hood reads as a custom furniture piece rather than an appliance accessory. Because the shell is the woodwork and not the mechanical unit, it works with a separate ventilation insert to move air: the included Broan-compatible liner provides the housing that the ventilator seats into, and the two work together as one finished system.

Walnut, Unfinished, and Ready to Match

Walnut is a premium hardwood with a grain that stains and oils to a deep, warm tone, and it takes custom finishes well. Because this shell arrives ready-to-finish rather than prefinished, the finisher controls the exact color and sheen to coordinate with the cabinet doors and millwork in the room. That flexibility is especially useful in a kitchen where the hood is a statement piece and an off-the-shelf finish color would stand out rather than blend in.

Where This Shell Fits Best

This shell is a strong fit for a kitchen remodel or new build where the range or cooktop is 36 to 48 inches wide and the design calls for a custom wood hood as a focal point. Cabinet shops finishing a walnut or mixed-species kitchen will find the ready-to-finish shell straightforward to match to the rest of the work. Designers specifying for a transitional or contemporary kitchen where walnut is already part of the material palette can use this shell to carry that species up the wall. The 42-inch height gives the hood enough presence to fill the space between the countertop and upper cabinets on a standard ceiling run.
