Twenty inches is the closed length of the slide. Because this is a full-extension design, the drawer member travels approximately the full slide length, bringing the entire drawer out to the cabinet face — but slide length and drawer travel are two separate figures. Match the slide length to your drawer depth and cabinet interior, not to a desired opening distance.
