Hickory Hardware Studio Series appliance pull is a zinc die cast handle with an oil rubbed bronze highlighted finish that provides a coordinated, finished look on appliance fronts where that color scheme is specified. The 18 inch center to center dimension sets a consistent, wide hand grip that suits larger appliance doors in residential or commercial millwork layouts. Overall length of 19-5/8 inches allows the pull to span more of the panel face, which can visually balance taller or wider fronts during design planning. A 2 inch projection holds the hand away from the door surface, which can help with gloved use or when fronts sit slightly proud of surrounding cabinetry. The 1-5/8 inch width offers a substantial grasping surface, which can support repeat use on high-traffic appliances.
The 18 inch center to center dimension defines the mounting hole layout, so panels can be drilled or machined to that span for consistent alignment. With a 19-5/8 inch overall length, the pull extends beyond the mounting points at both ends, which positions the grip to visually frame the mounting pattern on tall doors. A 2 inch projection sets the handle off the surface, which keeps the grip accessible when doors sit flush with surrounding panels. The 1-5/8 inch width gives the pull a larger footprint on the face, which can distribute contact over more of the door skin or decorative panel.
The P2279-OBH appliance pull from the Studio Series falls into the appliance pulls class, which positions it for use on appliance fronts rather than small cabinet doors. The 18 inch center to center span suits wide applications such as paneled refrigerators or tall freezer doors where a long, continuous grip is preferred. Its 19-5/8 inch overall length means the pull visually stretches across a significant portion of the panel, which can align with large-format doors in contemporary or transitional layouts. The oil rubbed bronze highlighted finish coordinates with other dark bronze hardware within the same space, which supports consistent finish selection across doors and appliance fronts. Constructed from zinc die cast material, the pull offers a rigid form, which supports repeated opening and closing on frequently used appliances.
The specified 18 inch center to center dimension gives installers a fixed drilling template, which helps keep multiple pulls aligned along a bank of appliance fronts. Its 2 inch projection keeps the hand clear of door surfaces, which is useful where decorative panels or trim may stand proud of the appliance body. The 1-5/8 inch width provides a generous bearing area against the panel, which can help distribute operational forces across a broader section of the door face. With the 19-5/8 inch overall length clearly defined, designers can place the pull to balance proportions relative to door height and adjacent cabinet hardware. The stated 8-32 x 1 inch screw size allows planning around matching threaded engagement, which supports secure attachment through appliance panels or decorative overlays.
