Hickory Hardware Wire Pull 4" (102 mm) Center to Center, Black, PW355-22

Hickory Hardware Wire Pulls 4 Inch Cabinet Use

Hickory Hardware Wire Pulls 4 inch center to center black pull PW355-22 is a steel handle designed for cabinet and furniture drawers or doors, so it provides a consistent gripping point across a run of casework. The Wire Pulls collection identity signals a simple wire-form style, which suits straightforward shop layouts where hardware should function cleanly without visual clutter. The 4 inch (102 mm) center to center dimension sets precise drilling positions, helping installers line up multiple fronts with the same spacing. The black finish gives a dark, uniform appearance along the wire profile, which visually ties together cabinets that share other black details. The Belwith Keeler brand connection places this pull within a recognized decorative hardware family, which helps shops that prefer to stay within a single maker when matching existing jobs.

Key Wire Pull Details For Cabinet Projects

• The 4 inch (102 mm) center to center measurement defines the hole spread, so jigs can be set once and reused for efficient drilling across doors and drawers.
• The overall 4-5/16 inch length extends slightly beyond the mounting holes, giving extra finger clearance past the screw centers for a more comfortable everyday grip.
• The 1-1/4 inch projection sets the standoff from the front surface, creating room for fingers while helping keep the pull from catching on passing clothing.
• The 5/16 inch width describes the wire thickness, so the pull feels solid in the hand without taking up excessive visual space on narrow rails and stiles.
• The black finish lays down a continuous dark surface over the steel, helping the pull visually coordinate with other black decorative hardware elements in a run.
• The steel material provides a rigid body, so the pull resists flexing during regular drawer opening and closing in busy cabinet environments.

4 Inch Center To Center Mounting Workflow

The 4 inch center to center mounting layout lets installers use common 4 inch drilling templates, which speeds up layout on larger cabinet banks. That same 4 inch spacing also fits many standard shop-made jigs, so repetitive runs stay consistent from cabinet to cabinet. The 1-1/4 inch projection interacts with this hole spread by setting a predictable reach distance from the door or drawer face, which helps align pulls at corners without crowding adjacent edges. With the 5/16 inch width of the wire section, the pull sits neatly over the mounting points, so the footprint covers the bored holes while still looking light on smaller fronts. The black finish around the mounting area visually masks minor drilling marks at the hole edges, supporting a clean finished presentation on installed cabinets.

Using This PW355-22 Pull In Real Projects

Cabinet And Furniture Locations Where It Works

The PW355-22 pull, listed as a wire pull in the Hickory Hardware Wire Pulls collection, fits use on cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and similar casework that benefits from a linear grip. The 4-5/16 inch length lets the pull sit comfortably on medium-width drawers, where a short knob might feel undersized across the front. Because the center to center dimension is 4 inches, it can run in a straight line across banks of base or wall cabinets, giving a continuous rhythm of handles down the run. The 1-1/4 inch projection holds the hand away from the face of thicker fronts, which is useful on doors with applied panels or decorative edge treatments. The 5/16 inch width works well on face frames and slab fronts alike, keeping the pull proportionate whether the stile is narrow or wide. The black finish integrates easily into cabinet designs that already use black hinges or appliances, so the hardware line visually connects different components of the installation.

Details That Support Repeatable Alignment And Fit

The 4 inch center to center measurement is the key alignment feature on this pull, because it dictates where every pair of mounting holes lands on a door or drawer. That fixed spread lets shops standardize their drilling patterns, which is valuable when building or refacing multiple kitchens with the same hardware line. The 4-5/16 inch overall length gives a small margin beyond the hole centers, so installers have a bit of visual reference at the ends when setting the pull parallel to an edge. The 1-1/4 inch projection creates a consistent hand clearance that will match from cabinet to cabinet, supporting a uniform feel when users move through a space. The 5/16 inch width means the pull body covers the bored hole area tightly without overhanging onto panel details, which helps keep alignment visually true even when grain or panel lines are strong. The steel construction works with this geometry by holding its shape under load, so the spacing and projection do not creep over time with normal operation of drawers and doors.
