A standard 110 degree hinge leaves a door angled into the room; at 155 degrees, the door swings back close to the cabinet side and clears the opening almost entirely. That extra travel matters on base cabinets with deep drawers inside, corner pull-outs, and pantry-style cabinets where reach-in access determines how useful the storage actually is. It also matters on upper cabinets positioned near a wall, where a door that stops at 110 degrees creates a bottleneck. The half crank sets each door to cover half the cabinet side, the configuration used when two doors share one center partition and a full overlay arm would cause the arms to collide. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door at the standard depth, and the hinge arm connects to a Blum base plate on the cabinet, ordered separately.
