This is a complete LEGRABOX M height drawer system from Blum in Orion Gray Matte — a 20-inch (500mm nominal length), full-extension steel drawer platform with integrated BLUMOTION soft-close, rated at 170 lb. It is a full drawer system: the steel side profiles, runners, and soft-close mechanism arrive engineered together. You supply the front, bottom panel, and back to Blum's cutting specification to complete the box.
The M height is the standard choice for the majority of kitchen drawer runs: cutlery and utensil drawers, dry goods storage, bath vanity drawers, and linen or towel pull-outs. At 90.5mm tall, the side profile is deep enough to hold most drawer contents without requiring the taller F or C profiles reserved for pots-and-pans or pantry pull-out applications. The 20-inch (500mm) nominal length suits standard 21-inch to 24-inch-deep cabinets, making this one of the most broadly applicable sizes in the LEGRABOX line. The 170 lb capacity means it handles heavy loads — cast iron cookware, stacked dinnerware, bulk pantry goods — without reservation. The AMBIA-LINE interior organization inserts are built to this drawer platform, so cutlery trays, utensil inserts, cross dividers, and knife holders all drop in cleanly if interior organization is part of the project.
Orion Gray Matte is Blum's signature interior color for LEGRABOX — a deep, slightly warm gray with a flat sheen that disappears into the background of most kitchen and bath interiors. It works especially well behind fronts in charcoal, slate, matte black, deep navy, or natural wood tones, where a bright white or steel interior would create visible contrast through open drawers. When the drawer interior is meant to read as part of the cabinetry rather than a feature of it, Orion Gray does the job. The AMBIA-LINE organization inserts and cross dividers are offered in matching Orion Gray Matte, so interior accessories look factory-fitted rather than aftermarket.
Cabinet shops running production kitchens in contemporary finishes reach for this system when the project calls for a heavy-duty drawer with a coordinated interior color. Designers specifying hardware for dark-palette renovations use the Orion Gray finish to keep drawer interiors visually consistent across the whole run. Contractors and serious DIYers building their own boxes find the full-extension, soft-close, 170 lb package in one engineered unit a straightforward way to hit a high-quality outcome without sourcing runners and dampers separately. This system is built for frameless cabinet construction; face-frame installations require rear mounting brackets, which are LEGRABOX-specific and sold separately.
You supply the drawer front, the bottom panel, and the back panel, all cut to Blum's published specification for this nominal length and side height. The sides, runners, and soft-close mechanism come with the system.
No. On this LEGRABOX configuration, BLUMOTION is integrated directly into the runner — it is not a separate clip or accessory. The damper adapts to the drawer's load automatically.
LEGRABOX mounts directly to frameless (32mm grid) cabinet sides. For face-frame installations, you need LEGRABOX rear mounting brackets — sold separately and specific to the LEGRABOX system.
Yes. AMBIA-LINE is Blum's interior organization line matched to LEGRABOX. Cross dividers, cutlery trays, utensil inserts, and knife holders in Orion Gray Matte are available in the AMBIA-LINE program and are sized to fit this platform.
M height is 90.5mm (3-9/16 inch) — the standard profile suited for most kitchen and bath drawers. Taller heights (K, C, F) are used for pot drawers, pantry pull-outs, and applications that need to retain taller contents or carry gallery rails.
Choosing Orion Gray Matte resolves the interior color question for every dark or neutral-palette project on the list — the drawer system, its damper, and the organization accessories it accepts all share the same finish from the start.
