Kensington Maple edgebanding from Rehau, Inc. is a PVC edge banding designed to finish exposed panel edges in woodworking and cabinet projects. The Kensington Maple color identity supports visually consistent edges wherever matching maple-style surfaces are used, which helps panels present as a single, finished component. As an edge banding in the Edgebanding & Surfacing category, it is intended to cover raw board edges so substrates are protected at vulnerable corners. The 2mm thick construction gives a substantial edge profile that can handle normal handling around cabinet openings and panel perimeters. With a 15/16 inch width, the banding covers standard panel thicknesses while allowing for trimming to a clean, flush line. The 300 FT length provides a continuous run suitable for multiple cabinets or larger furniture builds, helping long projects stay on the same color and finish. The Manufacturer Part # 301814-517 makes repeat ordering straightforward.
This Rehau, Inc. edge banding is specified at 15/16 inch width, so installers can apply it to standard panel edges and trim back to a flush finish without risking a short reveal. The 2mm thickness provides a sturdy edge that stands up as material is cut, milled, or flushed during installation. As a PVC edgebanding in the Edge Banding product class, it works within typical edge application setups using compatible machinery or hand tools, which keeps workflow consistent across projects. The Kensington Maple color identity allows installers to align edge grain direction visually with adjacent panels, helping seams read as intentional design rather than exposed substrate.
As PVC edgebanding in the Edgebanding & Surfacing category, this Kensington Maple product is aimed at finishing cabinet and furniture panel edges where a maple-style look is needed. The 300 FT length supports runs across multiple cabinet boxes, tall panels, or repeated casework components without breaking from the same color line, which is useful in kitchens and larger installations. The 2mm thickness provides a more robust edge compared with thinner banding, so door and drawer fronts gain a more defined perimeter when viewed from the side. With its 15/16 inch width, the banding covers typical panel edges while leaving material for trimming along both faces, helping doors and gables present a uniform finished edge. The Rehau, Inc. branding and Manufacturer Part # 301814-517 identify it as a defined Kensington Maple match, which matters when aligning with preselected panel or laminate programs that rely on that color name.
The 15/16 inch width directly affects trimming tolerance, giving installers room to position the Kensington Maple edgebanding on various substrates and then bring both faces flush without exposing the core. This extra working width supports straighter reveals along cabinet and furniture edges, especially on long gables or shelving. The 2mm thick profile changes how the edge feels in hand, providing a more substantial transition from face to edge that can visually frame doors and drawer fronts. As a 300 FT roll, this Kensington Maple PVC edge banding helps maintain color continuity across many parts, reducing the chance of slight visual shifts between batches. Its placement in the Edge Banding product class within Edgebanding & Surfacing signals that it is intended as the primary edge finish layer, so it becomes part of the visible design rather than a hidden component. Together, the color identity, thickness, width, and length support repeatable, project-wide consistency.
