Patwin 260 Black T-Molding, 250' L x 13/16" W - 7/64" Kerf - P500-13/16-260

Patwin 260 Black Tee Molding For Clean Edges

Patwin 260 black tee molding uses non-toxic polyethylene, so installers get an edge detail that is suitable where a non-toxic plastic profile is required on woodworking projects. The molding measures 13/16 inch wide, giving coverage for typical edge thicknesses in cabinet and fixture work where this width is specified. A 7/64 inch kerf dimension is designed into the profile, so it matches grooves prepared to that kerf size for a firm mechanical hold. This molding is part of Patwin Plastics Flexene line, which is manufactured to fit any contour whether outside or inside curves and radii, so a single product can follow a variety of layouts around arcs and corners. The manufacturer notes that the product is consistently precise in dimensions, workability and color, which supports repeatable runs where edges must align and color must remain uniform.

Key Flexene Molding Details That Help On Site

• Non-toxic polyethylene construction provides a plastic profile suited to projects where a non-toxic material is preferred on exposed edges, which can be important in commercial or residential woodworking environments.
• Flexene design fits any contour whether outside or inside curves and radii, so installers can run the same tee molding along straight sections and tight or sweeping bends without changing profiles mid-job.
• Consistently precise dimensions help grooves and edges match the molding profile from piece to piece, supporting smoother installation when multiple lengths are used across larger cabinets or fixture runs.
• Consistently precise workability means the molding handles the same way along its length, which helps maintain a steady installation rhythm on repetitive cuts, grooves, and press-in operations.
• Consistently precise color keeps visible edges looking uniform along long runs, which matters when multiple panels sit side by side and the molding serves as a continuous visual line.

Installation Fit Based On Width And Kerf

This black tee molding has a 13/16 inch width, so it is sized for edge situations where that face coverage is required along the panel perimeter. The profile uses a 7/64 inch kerf, which means the groove must match that kerf dimension for the barbed section to seat properly and hold. Because the Flexene molding fits outside and inside curves and radii, installers can cut a continuous 7/64 inch kerf around shaped workpieces and press the same profile around the entire contour. The consistently precise dimensions described by the manufacturer support accurate edge fit when the same kerf tooling is used from part to part across a production run.

Using This Tee Molding In Woodworking Projects

Where Patwin 260 Black Tee Molding Performs Best

This Patwin Plastics 260 black tee molding is categorized under edgebanding and surfacing as a tee molding, so it is intended to finish exposed edges in woodworking applications where this profile and color are specified. The 13/16 inch width works where that specific coverage across the edge is required, such as panel edges designed around that face dimension. Because the Flexene molding fits any contour whether outside or inside curves and radii, it can be run around shaped tops, curved casework, and curved fixtures that follow a defined radius. The non-toxic polyethylene construction makes it a candidate for projects that call for a non-toxic plastic edge component while still needing a tee molding format.

Why Flexene Design And Precision Support Results

The Flexene design lets the tee molding follow outside and inside curves and radii, so one continuous length can be installed around complex shapes without switching to a different edging method. This reduces layout transitions where a straight-only edge profile would stop at a corner. The 7/64 inch kerf value ties directly to tooling selection, because that kerf dimension defines the groove size that will grip the stem of the tee molding. When the kerf is matched, the design is intended to fit firmly and hug edges permanently, helping the molding stay seated along the edge during service. The manufacturer states that the product is consistently precise in dimensions, workability and color, which is important when multiple lengths are cut from the same 250 foot roll for a coordinated set of cabinets or fixtures. That consistency supports predictable seating in the kerf, smoother handling during bending around radii, and uniform black color across adjoining panels.

Common Questions About Patwin Flexene Tee Molding

Selecting This Black Tee Molding For Your Project

Choosing this Patwin 260 black tee molding gives installers a 13/16 inch wide, non-toxic polyethylene edge profile built around a 7/64 inch kerf. The Flexene design that fits outside and inside curves and radii lets one molding manage both straight and shaped sections, while consistently precise dimensions, workability and color support repeatable performance on cabinet, fixture, and other woodworking projects where this tee molding format and black finish are specified.
