Omega National Verona Wall Mount Range Hood 30 Inch

30-Inch Wall Hood Shell for a Rift White Oak Kitchen

The Omega National Verona is a decorative wood range hood shell in rift white oak, wall-mount configuration, supplied with a Broan-compatible liner and ready to receive stain or paint after installation.

Key Features

• Rift white oak construction offers a straight, consistent grain pattern that pairs well with contemporary and transitional cabinet styles.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the ventilation insert can be ordered and fitted without sourcing a separate liner.
• Ready-to-finish wood surface accepts stain or paint to match the surrounding cabinetry exactly.
• Wall-mount design positions the hood against the wall above the cooking surface for a clean, integrated look.
• 30-inch width and 36-inch height sized for standard residential cooktop runs with a taller hood body.
• Verona series styling from Omega National, a dedicated wood hood line with a defined decorative profile.

Where Rift White Oak Makes the Difference

Rift-sawn white oak produces boards with a notably straight, tight grain and minimal ray fleck, which gives the Verona a more uniform face than flat-sawn or quarter-sawn cuts of the same species. In kitchens where the cabinetry is rift white oak or a closely related species, that consistency is the detail that makes a custom-looking installation read as intentional rather than assembled from mismatched parts. The 36-inch height gives the hood body enough presence to anchor the wall above a standard range without requiring a full chimney extension in most ceiling heights.

The Shell, the Liner, and the Ventilator

This product is the decorative wood enclosure, not the air-moving unit. It does not include a blower, and it carries no CFM rating of its own. What it does include is the Broan-compatible liner, which is the metal interior housing that accepts a Broan ventilator. The ventilator that actually moves air above the cooktop is ordered separately, selected to match the cooktop output and the room's ventilation path. That separation is common in wood hood installations: the shell determines the look, the liner bridges the shell to the ventilator, and the ventilator does the mechanical work. All three parts need to be on the order before the installation is complete.

Specifying This Hood

This shell fits a wall-mount position with a 30-inch width. The 19-inch depth and 36-inch height establish the footprint, so confirm those dimensions against the cabinet run and ceiling height before finalizing the specification. Because the wood arrives unfinished, finishing happens on-site or in the shop: the rift white oak surface accepts penetrating oil stains, film-build stains, and paint, and finishing it to match the cabinet doors before installation produces the most consistent result. Cabinet shops and finish carpenters working on a full rift white oak kitchen will find the species match straightforward; homeowners finishing independently should test the stain on a scrap piece of the same species before committing to the hood body.

Common Questions

The Right Shell for a Rift White Oak Kitchen

When the cabinetry is rift white oak and the hood needs to disappear into the wall as part of the design, the Verona delivers the species match and the proportions to make that work, with the liner already included to simplify the ventilator selection.
