Omega National Verona Wood Range Hood, 30 In

30-Inch Red Oak Hood Shell for a Custom Cabinetry Look

The Omega National Verona is a 30-inch-wide red oak wall mount range hood shell that brings natural wood character to the space above the cooktop, supplied ready-to-finish and sized to accept a compatible Broan ventilation insert.

Key Features

• Red oak construction delivers prominent grain and character that takes stain and paint evenly.
• 30 inches wide by 36 inches tall by 19 inches deep, a proportioned fit for standard 30-inch cooktop runs.
• Wall mount design installs against the wall above the range for a clean, traditional profile.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the shell is ready to accept a Broan ventilation insert without a separate liner purchase.
• Ready-to-finish surface accepts stain or paint to match any kitchen palette.
• Verona series styling from Omega National, a decorative wood shell designed to integrate with surrounding cabinetry.

Where This Shell Earns Its Place

Above a 30-inch cooktop, the range hood is one of the most visible design elements in the kitchen. A wood shell like the Verona lets that space read as cabinetry rather than as an appliance. The red oak grain, with its open pores and straight-to-slightly-wavy figure, responds well to a wide range of stain colors, from light natural tones to deep espresso, so the hood can be matched precisely to the cabinet doors or a custom mixed color. For kitchens being built or remodeled with solid wood or wood-veneer doors, a stained red oak hood ties the upper wall into the cabinet run below.

This is the decorative enclosure. It frames the ventilation and provides the finished woodwork. The Broan insert that actually moves air is selected separately based on cooktop output and ductwork layout, and it mounts into the included liner.

Construction and Finish Preparation

Red oak is a domestic hardwood with a coarser grain texture than maple or cherry, which gives it a more pronounced figure under stain and a slightly more rustic character in paint. The Verona shell is supplied ready-to-finish, meaning the wood arrives uncoated and prepared for the finisher to apply the stain, paint, or topcoat of choice on-site or in the shop. That approach keeps the color decision with the cabinetmaker or painter rather than locking it in at the factory, which is the right call for a custom kitchen where an exact match to existing cabinets matters. The shell is not prefinished.

Right for This Install

This shell suits a traditional or transitional kitchen where the designer or cabinetmaker wants the hood to read as a wood element rather than a stainless appliance. At 30 inches wide, it pairs with a 30-inch cooktop or range. Cabinet shops finishing a run of red oak or stain-grade cabinetry can pull this into the finishing schedule alongside the doors and drawer fronts, applying the same stain and topcoat for a seamless result. Homeowners doing a renovation with a target look in mind benefit from the ready-to-finish surface, since the hood can be finished off-site and then installed once the cabinetry is in place.
