Omega National 36 Inch Cherry Verona Wall Hood

36-Inch Cherry Hood Shell for a Wall-Mount Cabinetry Installation

The Omega National Verona is a decorative cherry wood range hood shell sized at 36 inches wide and 36 inches tall, designed for wall-mount installation above a cooktop and built to integrate with surrounding kitchen cabinetry. A Broan-compatible liner is included so the shell is ready to accept a separately chosen ventilation unit.

Key Features

• 36-inch width and 36-inch height suit a wide cooktop run and fill a tall hood opening in the wall cabinetry run.
• Cherry wood species provides a warm, fine-grained surface ready for staining or painting to match the kitchen finish.
• Verona series design brings a defined decorative profile suited to traditional and transitional kitchen styles.
• Wall-mount position mounts directly to the wall above the range rather than attaching to adjacent cabinets.
• Broan-compatible liner included bridges the shell to a compatible Broan ventilation unit, selected separately.
• Not prefinished, so the final stain or paint color is applied on-site to coordinate with the cabinetry.

Where This Hood Fits in the Kitchen

A 36-inch-wide hood shell suits a 30-inch to 36-inch cooktop or range where the design calls for a wood hood that reads as part of the wall cabinetry rather than a standalone appliance. The wall-mount position means it anchors to the wall structure above the range, making it a strong choice for open walls, transitional kitchens, and renovation projects where the hood is a focal point of the design. The 36-inch height gives the shell a commanding presence and leaves room for the internal liner and ventilator without compressing the visual profile.

Wood, Finish Prep, and Construction

Cherry is one of the more refined domestic hardwoods in cabinet and millwork use: it finishes evenly, accepts stain well, and develops a warm patina over time that deepens the visual character. Because this shell arrives unfinished, the finishing step happens on-site, which lets a finisher match the stain or paint precisely to the surrounding cabinetry rather than working from a factory color. At 19 inches deep, the shell provides enough front-to-back dimension to accommodate a liner and ventilator while keeping the hood profile proportional to the wall. The included liner is matched to Broan ventilation, so the mechanical components are specified to a known, compatible system.

Who Orders This Shell

Cabinet shops and installers building a kitchen where the hood is specified as part of the cabinetry run will find this shell a practical starting point: the species, the width, and the liner compatibility are all resolved in one SKU, and the finishing and ventilator selection complete the package. Designers specifying a traditional or transitional kitchen with cherry cabinetry can carry the species through to the hood for a cohesive result. Homeowners renovating an existing kitchen and replacing a stainless or painted hood with a wood unit will need to confirm the wall rough-in and the Broan ventilator model that fits the liner before the install proceeds.
