Omega National Verona Range Hood, 42 In Maple

Maple Wood Hood Shell for a Custom Built-In Look

The Omega National Verona is a 42-inch-wide wall mount range hood shell crafted in maple, supplied ready-to-finish so it can be stained or painted to coordinate with the surrounding cabinetry. A Broan-compatible liner is included to seat the ventilation unit of your choice.

Key Features

• Maple wood construction delivers a consistent, fine-grain surface that takes stain or paint evenly across the shell.
• 42 inches wide by 36 inches tall by 19 inches deep, sized for a substantial presence over a wide cooktop run.
• Wall mount position anchors the hood against the wall above the range for a clean, cabinetry-integrated installation.
• Broan-compatible liner included so the ventilation unit seats correctly without a separate liner purchase.
• Ready-to-finish maple means the finisher or installer controls the final color, stain, or painted look on-site.
• Verona series design offers a proportioned hood profile suited to transitional and traditional kitchen styles.

Where the Verona Shell Fits the Job

A wide cooktop run, whether a 36-inch or 42-inch range, calls for a hood that fills the space without looking undersized. At 42 inches wide, this shell covers that span and carries the visual weight to balance an expansive cooking wall. The Verona profile suits kitchens where the hood is meant to read as a furniture piece, connecting the upper cabinets across the range. Because the shell arrives unfinished, it can be finished on the bench alongside the cabinet doors before install, so the color and sheen match precisely rather than approximating a stock finish.

Material and Finishing

Maple is the preferred species for painted finishes in cabinetry because its tight, consistent grain resists bleed-through and sands to a smooth surface. It also accepts stain, though the natural maple tone is light and the grain is subtle, so the result reads as an even, quiet wood rather than a figured one. The shell is supplied ready-to-finish, meaning no topcoat has been applied, and the installer or finishing shop completes the surface treatment. The included Broan-compatible liner protects the hood interior and provides the housing that the ventilation unit mounts into.

Who Specifies This Shell

Cabinet shops and designers working on painted or stained maple kitchens will find this shell the most direct path to a matching hood, since the species is already consistent with a maple cabinet package. Contractors installing a wide range or dual-fuel cooktop have the width to match. Homeowners building a custom kitchen where the hood is a focal point above a statement range can use the ready-to-finish surface to achieve an exact color match to the doors and drawer fronts. The ventilation insert that goes inside the liner is selected separately based on cooktop output and ducting requirements.

The Right Shell for a Maple Kitchen
