Omega National 48 Inch Verona Range Hood Alder

Wide-Format Alder and a Ready-to-Install Liner

The Omega National Verona is a 48-inch-wide decorative wood range hood shell in alder, wall-mount design, supplied with a Broan-compatible liner included. It is the woodwork side of the hood installation, not the ventilation unit itself.

Key Features

• Alder wood shell in a clear, unfinished state so it can be stained or painted to match the kitchen.
• 48 inches wide by 36 inches tall by 19 inches deep, suited to wider cooking surfaces and statement kitchen designs.
• Verona series styling brings a refined wall-hood profile to the space above the range.
• Wall-mount position designed for installation against the wall surface above the cooktop.
• Broan-compatible liner included, the fitting that accepts the separate ventilation unit.
• Not prefinished, leaving full control over stain, paint, or topcoat to the finisher or installer.

Where a 48-Inch Shell Makes Sense

A 48-inch hood suits a wider-than-standard cooktop or a kitchen where the hood is meant to anchor a focal wall rather than simply sit above the range. At this width, the Verona reads as a furniture-scaled centerpiece, and the alder construction gives cabinetmakers a wood that takes stain evenly and machines cleanly. Kitchens pairing the hood with alder, maple, or painted cabinetry will find this shell easy to bring into the palette. The 36-inch height and 19-inch depth give the profile presence without crowding a standard ceiling height.

Alder, Unfinished, Ready for the Shop

Alder is a close-grained hardwood that finishes predictably, accepts stain without blotching, and paints to a smooth surface. Because this shell ships unfinished, a cabinetmaker or finishing shop can match it exactly to the surrounding cabinet run, whether that means a natural stain, a glazed finish, or a painted color. The shell is not prefinished, so there is no factory coating to sand through or work around. Finishing happens on-site or in the shop after the shell is delivered.

Who Installs This and What They Need Alongside It

This shell is for kitchen designers, cabinetmakers, and contractors building out a custom or semi-custom kitchen that calls for a wood hood tied to the cabinetry. Because the Broan-compatible liner ships with the unit, the structural interface for the ventilation unit is already handled. The ventilation unit itself, the power pack or insert that moves the air, is selected separately based on the cooktop output and the kitchen's duct configuration. Specify the ventilator to suit the cooktop, and the liner provides the seat for it inside this shell.

Common Questions

The Shell That Anchors the Kitchen Wall

At 48 inches wide and built in alder, the Verona gives a wide cooking center a wood hood that belongs to the cabinetry rather than interrupting it, finished on-site to match whatever the rest of the kitchen calls for.
