Most cabinet assembly screws top out at 2 inches or shorter, which is the right call for a single 3/4-inch panel. When the job involves two panels laminated together, a thick face-frame attached to a 3/4-inch box side, or a backing rail let into deeper stock, the screw needs to travel further before the threads do their work. The 3-inch length keeps the threaded section in solid material even when the near-side stock is an inch or more thick. That matters for pull-out resistance and for drawing the joint closed. Match the near-side thickness to the joint so the threaded section fully enters the receiving material.
This is an indoor assembly screw. The finish is not rated for exterior or high-moisture environments. Keep it on interior cabinet, furniture, and casework applications.
