16' Aluminum Extruded Bypassing Double Track 7002

Sliding Bypass Door Hardware For Smooth Tracking

sliding bypass door hardware in this Hettich America Corporation track provides a 16 ft continuous aluminum run for bypass doors, so long openings can be handled with a single, consistent carrier surface. The track is designed for .75 in bypass doors, which helps match common door thicknesses used in many sliding installations. As a double aluminum carrier track, it gives two parallel running surfaces, so paired doors can slide past each other without sharing a single channel. The aluminum construction keeps the track rigid while staying relatively light, which helps during handling and positioning on the job. With a total length of 16 ft, installers can span wider closets or room openings without splicing shorter sections, which reduces alignment work along the opening. The track sits within the Hettich sliding door hardware family, which helps align it with other components from the same manufacturer.

Key Track Details That Support Door Hardware Work

• The 16 ft length allows a single continuous run over wide openings, so there are fewer joints to align along the door line.
• Double aluminum carrier tracks give each bypass door its own running channel, which supports smoother movement when doors cross.
• Holes at every 11 in provide repeated fastening locations, which helps distribute load along the opening and simplify layout.
• The track is specified for .75 in bypass doors, which aligns with many common door builds in sliding applications.
• Recommended #8 x 1-1/4 in panhead screws match the factory hole intent, which supports consistent fastening into typical substrates.

Mounting And Fastening Details For Installers

This Hettich America Corporation 16 ft aluminum track arrives with holes at every 11 in, so fastener placement can follow a predictable pattern along the opening. Those repeated 11 in intervals give frequent fastening points, which helps tie the track to framing or support structure without separate drilling at every location. The manufacturer lists #8 x 1-1/4 in panhead screws as the recommended fasteners, so the screw shank and head style are suited to the pre-punched holes. Using the recommended screw size supports a snug fit in the hole and a broad bearing surface at the head, which helps keep the track seated along the mounting surface during door operation. Because the track is aluminum, it can be positioned and held in place more easily during fastening compared to heavier steel extrusions.

Using This Double Carrier Track In Sliding Runs

Where This Double Carrier Track Fits Best

The 16 ft aluminum track with double carrier channels is set up for bypass door runs where two doors slide past one another on separate paths. The design for .75 in bypass doors fits applications using doors around three-quarter inch thickness, which is common in many interior sliding door projects. In long closet or room-divider openings, a single 16 ft piece reduces the need for multiple shorter tracks, so the sliding path stays consistent from end to end. Because the track is part of the Hettich America Corporation sliding door hardware line, it suits projects that use that manufacturers components across the opening. The double carrier layout supports hardware configurations where each door uses its own set of carriers in its dedicated channel.

Details That Support Repeatable Sliding Door Results

The holes at every 11 in along the 16 ft aluminum track standardize the fastening pattern, which helps crews repeat the same layout across multiple openings. That consistent hole spacing supports even load transfer into backing material, which can help maintain track alignment over time. The recommended #8 x 1-1/4 in panhead screws are matched to those holes, so fasteners seat properly without excessive play, which helps avoid unwanted movement at the attachment points. As a double carrier track, it physically separates the paths for each bypass door, which reduces interference between door edges during travel. The aluminum material provides a rigid profile along the full 16 ft, yet still manageable for one or two installers to handle on site. The 50532 manufacturer part number uniquely identifies this specific configuration, which helps teams reorder the same track for future projects or match it to drawings and hardware schedules.

Common Questions About This 16 Ft Track

Selecting This Track For Your Sliding Opening

The 16 ft double aluminum carrier track from Hettich America Corporation combines length, repeated 11 in hole spacing, and a design for .75 in bypass doors, so it fits sliding projects needing two-door bypass movement over a wide span. The recommended #8 x 1-1/4 in panhead screws, the double-channel layout, and the defined 50532 part number give installers clear parameters for specifying and installing the track in woodworking and sliding door hardware work.
