Grass TEC 864 hinge is a concealed cabinet hinge for face frame construction, so doors close over the frame while hardware stays hidden. It is a self-close hinge, which pulls the door shut at the end of travel for consistent, controlled closing on every use. The hinge is part of the TEC 864 Series made in the USA, so shops needing domestic sourcing can match this line across multiple jobs. Its solid metal cup supports the door connection at the bore, which helps maintain alignment under regular cabinet use. All moving mechanism parts have all-steel construction, so the hinge is built around metal components at the pivot points. The hinge provides 108 degree opening, giving doors ample swing for everyday access without being overly exposed into the room. This hinge is designed to work with doors up to 3/4 inch thick, letting installers use common cabinet door stock without changing the hinge choice.
TEC 864 self-close face frame hinges offer both side mount and wraparound mount cabinet options, so installers can choose the mounting pattern that best matches the face frame layout. The wraparound mount style mounts on 3/4 inch thick face frames by positively locating the hinge base on the face frame, which helps position the hinge consistently along the frame edge. This hinge provides three dimensional adjustment, so doors can be tuned after installation without re-boring. Cam side adjustment of plus or minus 1.5 mm shifts the door side to side, which is useful for aligning door gaps and reveals between adjacent fronts. Cam depth adjustment of 2.5 mm out and 0.5 mm in moves the door in and out from the cabinet, so the door face can be brought flush with neighboring doors or drawer fronts. A slotted screw hole height adjustment of plus or minus 2 mm moves the door up or down at the hinge, which helps align top and bottom edges along a run of cabinets.
This Grass concealed face frame hinge is part of the TEC 864 Series, placing it in the Grass America concealed cabinet hinges class for face frame cabinets. It is a 1 inch overlay face-frame hinge in nickel finish, so it is suited to applications where the door overlays the frame by 1 inch and the hardware is hidden when the door is closed. The 108 degree TEC 864 hinge is designed to work with doors up to 3/4 inch thick, fitting typical kitchen, bath, and shop cabinet doors that use 3/4 inch material. Its shallow 10.5 mm cup lets it accommodate profiled door edges, so routed or shaped door designs can use the same hinge line. Available boring patterns of 42 mm and 45 mm align with common hinge boring machines, so shops can bore doors to their standard pattern while staying in the TEC 864 system. The hinge sits in the concealed face frame hinges category, so it serves as a primary hinge solution rather than decorative surface hardware.
The TEC 864 hinge uses a solid metal cup combined with all-steel moving parts, creating a rigid connection at the bore and at the pivot, which supports repeatable door movement over the hinge life. Its three dimensional adjustment - cam side adjustment plus or minus 1.5 mm, cam depth adjustment 2.5 mm out and 0.5 mm in, and slotted screw hole height adjustment plus or minus 2 mm - lets installers fine-tune door position in all directions, which reduces time spent on refitting or re-drilling if reveals are off. The wraparound mount version positively locates the hinge base on 3/4 inch face frames, which helps hold a consistent setback and vertical position when running multiple hinges down a frame. Side mount as an alternative cabinet mounting option gives flexibility when frame design or interior clearance calls for a different bracket footprint. The availability of screw-on and doweled cabinet door cup fastening designs allows doors to be prepared either for direct screw attachment or for dowels, matching the shop's boring and assembly process without changing the hinge model. Boring patterns of 42 mm and 45 mm support integration with different line-boring equipment, which helps maintain consistent drilling set-ups even when hinge overlay or mount style varies across jobs.
The Grass TEC 864 hinge is a concealed cabinet hinge for face frame construction, so it suits cabinets built with a front frame where the hinge mounts to the frame rather than a frameless side panel.

TEC 864 hinges provide side mount and wraparound mount cabinet options, with the wraparound mount locating on 3/4 inch face frames for consistent hinge base positioning along the frame.
