This is the 12 inch (300mm) side railing for the Grass Nova Pro Scala drawer system, sold in Silver finish. It mounts along the top of a Nova Pro Scala drawer side to increase the effective interior height, retain tall contents, and carry a taller front on a low-profile box.
Gallery rails serve a practical purpose that the drawer side alone cannot: they raise the effective wall of the drawer so taller items stay upright rather than spilling over the top of a low-profile side. For a pot drawer, a pantry pull-out, or any deep-storage application where contents stack above the side height, a side railing gives the drawer the reach it needs without switching to a taller side profile. The 12 inch length matches the 300mm nominal-length position in the Nova Pro Scala range, so components align as one complete unit from front to back.
Silver is the neutral mid-tone in the Nova Pro Scala railing program, sitting between the cooler Ice and the warmer Stone. In a kitchen or bath where the hardware leans contemporary without committing to a stark contrast, Silver reads as clean and resolved. The rectangular profile keeps the rail face flat and unornamented, which suits both painted face-frame work and frameless slab-front installations. Match the railing finish to the Nova Pro Scala sides and front fixings already in the project so the completed drawer interior presents a uniform color across every visible component.
Cabinet shops building production Nova Pro Scala kitchens reach for the side railing when the drawer spec calls for tall fronts or deep contents on a 12 inch slide run. Designers specifying handle-less kitchens with push-to-open fronts often use gallery rails to make the drawer interior look intentional from above — the Silver finish is versatile enough to sit behind painted fronts in white, gray, or off-white without pulling focus. Homeowners retrofitting a drawer to handle oversized items, such as rolled linens or pantry staples in tall containers, benefit from the added retention the rail provides. In every case the rail is a Nova Pro Scala component, not a universal accessory, so the rest of the drawer build should already be on that platform.
No. This side railing is made for the Nova Pro Scala platform. Vionaro, Zargen, and other Grass systems use their own railing and gallery components, which are not interchangeable with Nova Pro Scala parts.
The sold-as unit for this SKU is listed as a railing set; verify the pack contents at checkout to confirm how many pieces are included before ordering for both sides of a drawer.
Yes — Silver is a named finish in the Nova Pro Scala program, so sides, railings, and front fixings ordered in Silver are designed to present as a unified color. Confirm that all components come from the same Nova Pro Scala Silver finish family when mixing lengths or component types.
The railing nominal length should match the drawer side nominal length. Using a 12 inch railing on a longer drawer side leaves the rear portion of the drawer without coverage. Order the railing in the same nominal length as the sides in your build.
The Silver side railing lets a 12 inch Nova Pro Scala drawer present a finished, intentional interior — contents retained, finish coordinated, and every component from the same engineered platform.
