The Ice Finish Drawer Member That Keeps the Interior Consistent

This is the drawer member set from Grass America's Nova Pro Scala H186 system, a 26 inch component that pairs with matching Nova Pro Scala cabinet runners to build a complete soft-closing, full-extension metal drawer in Ice finish. At 7-5/16 inches tall with a 154 lb weight capacity, it suits deep storage drawers where finish continuity inside the cabinet matters as much as performance.

Key Features

• Ice finish — a clean, neutral tone that reads as a near-white inside painted and light-laminate cabinet interiors.
• Full extension — carries the drawer out to the cabinet face so the entire box interior is accessible.
• Soft-close motion — an integrated damper settles the drawer to a quiet close on every push.
• 154 lb weight capacity — handles heavy cookware, tools, or densely loaded storage without strain.
• H186 side height (7-5/16 inches) — one of Nova Pro Scala's taller profiles, suited to pots-and-pans and deep pantry drawers.
• Sold as a drawer member set — these are the drawer-side components; cabinet members and front fixings are ordered separately to complete the drawer.

Where the H186 Height and Ice Finish Work Together

The H186 designation puts this profile at 7-5/16 inches — the taller end of the Nova Pro Scala height range — which means it is built for drawers that need to contain bulky or tall items: a deep pot drawer next to the range, a pantry pull-out stocked with canned goods, a utility cabinet holding power tools. At that height, what the drawer sides look like on the inside becomes part of the finished room. Ice reads as a pale, almost-white neutral that pairs cleanly with white-painted interiors and light melamine box fronts without the warmth of Silver or the cooler edge of Metallic. Designers specifying handleless kitchens with light color palettes often reach for Ice when they need the hardware to disappear into the interior rather than contrast against it.

Construction and System Compatibility

Nova Pro Scala is a double-walled metal drawer system from Grass America. The drawer member profiles are steel, finished in Ice, and engineered to run on Nova Pro Scala cabinet runners. Because Nova Pro Scala components are platform-specific, these drawer members require matching Nova Pro Scala cabinet runners, front fixing brackets sized to the H186 height, and a back panel cut to the system's formula. Cross-system pairings — for example, pairing these members with runners from a different brand or a different Grass platform — are not supported. The Tavinea Optima interior organization system for Nova Pro Scala is available separately if you are building an organized interior in this same finish family.

Who Orders the H186 in Ice

Cabinet shops building light-toned kitchens — white shaker, light gray slab, or natural wood with white interiors — often specify Ice when the drawer interior needs to match the cabinet box rather than stand out. The 154 lb capacity and soft-close damping make the H186 equally appropriate for residential kitchens with heavy daily loads and for commercial-adjacent cabinetry where durability matters. At 26 inches nominal length, this member suits standard base cabinet depths of 24 inches finished. Homeowners renovating a kitchen who are already working from a Nova Pro Scala specification will find this drawer member fits directly into an existing system layout.

Build the Right Drawer the First Time

An Ice drawer member in H186 height makes the most sense when the finish and capacity spec are locked in from the start — confirm the Nova Pro Scala cabinet member, front fixing bracket, and interior organization plan before ordering so every component in the drawer arrives from the same platform and in the same finish.
