This is the AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile in Anthracite, a 270mm finishing and lighting component designed to work within Hettich's AvanTech YOU drawer system. It extends the system's built-in illumination capability while delivering a coordinated interior appearance in a deep, dark anthracite tone.
The AvanTech YOU drawer system is Hettich's premium metal drawer platform, built around double-walled side profiles and a coordinated interior accessory ecosystem. The Illumination Design Profile is a system component that integrates with the drawer's lighting setup, used where the drawer interior is meant to be lit and finished to a consistent appearance. A 270mm profile targets shorter drawer depths; confirm the nominal length of your AvanTech YOU runners and side profiles match this component before ordering, since nominal lengths within one drawer must be consistent.
Anthracite reads as a near-black neutral with enough warmth to work alongside dark wood fronts, matte black hardware, and darker laminate interiors without the starkness of a true black. In a kitchen or bath drawer where the side profiles and runners are already Anthracite, this profile maintains finish continuity across every visible surface. It is a system-specific color, not a paint or powder coat applied after assembly, so the tone is consistent with the manufactured components it sits beside.
Cabinet shops building AvanTech YOU kitchens with illuminated drawers will need the Illumination Design Profile to complete the interior finish at each drawer length they are running. Kitchen designers specifying handle-less, lit interiors in darker palette colorways will find the Anthracite option the cleaner choice against dark fronts and Anthracite-toned metalwork. Contractors completing a Hettich AvanTech YOU installation to the designer's spec sheet should confirm this profile's 270mm length against the runner length called out in the specification before pulling from stock.
It is part of the AvanTech YOU Illumination series and is engineered for that system. Hettich system accessories are platform-matched and do not interchange across series — this profile is not interchangeable with components from other Hettich platforms.
The source data identifies this as a design profile within the Illumination series. Whether LED components, power connections, or other lighting hardware are included is not stated in the available product data — confirm with the AvanTech YOU Illumination system documentation for what this profile supplies versus what must be ordered separately.
The 270mm nominal length is the system's component designation, not the finished interior drawer depth. It corresponds to AvanTech YOU runners and side profiles at the same nominal length. Check your runner nominal length to confirm the match before ordering.
For a consistent interior appearance, all visible AvanTech YOU components in one drawer should be in the same finish. Mixing Anthracite with Stainless Steel or White components in the same drawer interior will produce a mismatched result.
The Illumination Design Profile is a component in a system build, not a standalone accessory. Specifying it early — alongside the Anthracite runners, side profiles, and any front fixings — keeps the entire drawer interior finished and color-consistent from the first installation through the final punch list.
