350mm Illumination Design Profile for AvanTech YOU Drawers in Anthracite

The AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile in Anthracite is a 350mm accent and lighting profile engineered for the Hettich AvanTech YOU drawer system. It integrates into the drawer's side profile to deliver built-in illumination while extending the dark, matte Anthracite aesthetic of the drawer interior from end to end.

Key Features

• Anthracite finish coordinates with dark-toned AvanTech YOU drawer interiors for a unified, furniture-grade appearance.
• 350mm nominal length is sized for shorter drawer runs, including compact desk, vanity, and office casework drawers.
• Integrated illumination lights the drawer interior from within the profile rather than from a surface-mounted strip, keeping the install clean.
• AvanTech YOU system-matched design ensures the profile seats correctly and finish coordinates with other Anthracite components in the line.
• Design profile construction adds a visual accent rail alongside the functional lighting, refining the drawer's interior presentation.

Where This Profile Fits the Job

Illumination profiles are most useful in handle-less kitchens, closet systems, and office casework where a drawer opens without a pull and the interior needs to be immediately readable. In those installations, light from inside the drawer eliminates the shadow that a handle-less front casts when the drawer opens, so the contents are visible at a glance. The 350mm length targets shallower cabinets — compact bathroom vanities, narrow office pedestals, and short wardrobe drawers — where a longer profile would overhang the box. If the cabinet is deeper, check the available nominal lengths and select the one that matches the drawer's nominal dimension.

Finish and System Compatibility

Anthracite is a deep charcoal tone that reads as near-black in most lighting conditions. It pairs naturally with dark-interior cabinetry, matte black hardware, and the AvanTech YOU system's own Anthracite side profiles and front fixings. Because AvanTech YOU components are engineered together, the illumination profile's color, clip geometry, and fit are calibrated to this system — using it with a different drawer platform or a different brand's lighting strip is not supported. The profile material and exact lamp type are not specified in the current source data; confirm those details with the Hettich AvanTech YOU documentation before committing to a lighting design that depends on a specific lumen output or color temperature.

Who Orders This Profile

Cabinet shops building contemporary handle-less kitchens reach for this profile when the client spec calls for Anthracite throughout and interior lighting is part of the design brief. Interior designers specifying closet or dressing-room drawers with lit interiors will find the integrated approach cleaner than a surface-added LED strip. Contractors replacing or extending an existing AvanTech YOU Anthracite installation can match the drawer finish exactly without sourcing a generic lighting product that misses the color. The 350mm size is a deliberate choice for anyone working with smaller-footprint cabinetry where the standard longer profiles would not fit the box.

A Finishing Detail That Does Real Work

The Anthracite Illumination Design Profile turns a functional drawer interior into a deliberate design statement — dark-toned, evenly lit, and finished to the same standard as every other component in the AvanTech YOU system. For shops and designers who treat the inside of the drawer as part of the presentation, this is the component that closes the gap between a well-built box and a fully resolved interior.
