The AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile in Anthracite is a system component for the Hettich AvanTech YOU drawer platform, adding an integrated illumination profile to the drawer front area in a deep, neutral Anthracite finish. At 550mm nominal length, it is sized for mid-depth drawers and coordinates with the AvanTech YOU system's dark interior and exterior finish language.
The AvanTech YOU Illumination series is aimed at handle-less and design-forward kitchen installations where the drawer front and its surround need to work as a composed visual surface, not just a functional panel. The Anthracite profile suits dark-palette cabinetry — charcoal, graphite, or black laminate and painted fronts — where a white or stainless profile would break the monochromatic intention of the design. It also coordinates naturally with the AvanTech YOU system's Anthracite side profiles, so the lighting component reads as part of the same family rather than a contrasting accessory. The 550mm length positions this profile for a standard mid-depth cabinet run; confirm your AvanTech YOU runner nominal length matches before ordering, as system components are length-matched within the platform.
This profile is part of the AvanTech YOU Illumination series and is not a universal drawer accessory. It is designed specifically for the AvanTech YOU platform and is not interchangeable with other Hettich drawer systems or with profiles from other brands. Anthracite is one of the finish options in the AvanTech YOU color program, and the profile's surface finish is calibrated to match the system's other Anthracite components. Mixing nominal lengths within a single drawer is not supported; select the 550mm profile when the rest of your AvanTech YOU components for that drawer are also at the 550mm nominal length. The lighting function of the Illumination series requires the appropriate AvanTech YOU power and wiring components, which are sold separately and are platform-specific.
Cabinet shops specifying AvanTech YOU for a contemporary kitchen with dark or monochromatic cabinetry will find the Anthracite profile the natural finish match for that palette. Designers coordinating drawer system components to a color story — where every visible surface, including the illumination strip, needs to hold the same tone — specify this finish to avoid the contrast break a lighter profile would introduce. Kitchen installers completing an AvanTech YOU Illumination drawer build will source this component to close out the front-profile portion of the installation. It is a project-specific component rather than a general-purpose stock item: order it when the system, the nominal length, and the finish have all been confirmed.
No. This profile belongs specifically to the AvanTech YOU Illumination series, which is a distinct program within the AvanTech YOU platform. The illumination-series profiles are designed to support the system's lighting function and differ from standard design profiles in the same line.
The profile is finished in Anthracite as part of the AvanTech YOU color program and is intended to coordinate with other Anthracite components in the system. Confirm the finish match against current Hettich samples if color consistency is critical to the specification.
The Illumination series requires power supply and wiring components that are not included with this profile and are sold separately. All electrical and lighting components must come from the AvanTech YOU Illumination program — do not mix with components from other systems.
This profile is 550mm nominal length and is matched to AvanTech YOU components at that length. Use the corresponding 500mm or 600mm profile for drawers at those nominal lengths.
The AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile is available in additional finishes within the program, including options suited to lighter cabinetry palettes. Select the finish that matches your AvanTech YOU system components and cabinet front color.
Specify this profile when the drawer system, the nominal length, and the finish are locked — it is the component that pulls the Anthracite color story through to the illuminated front edge of the drawer, finishing the dark-palette installation cleanly.
