The AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile in Anthracite is a 400mm lighting-integrated profile accessory for Hettich's AvanTech YOU drawer system. It mounts to the drawer to deliver built-in illumination along the interior while contributing a coordinated finish to the visible profile face.
This profile belongs in AvanTech YOU drawer builds where illuminated interiors are part of the design brief. That scenario comes up most often in contemporary kitchens where handle-less fronts and integrated lighting are expected to read as a unified system rather than an afterthought. A dark anthracite profile against a dark drawer interior creates a shadow-free, lit space where drawer contents are visible the moment the drawer opens. It also suits closet builds and bath vanities where the same moody palette is in play and where interior lighting improves daily usability without adding visual clutter.
At 400mm, this profile is matched to the corresponding AvanTech YOU runner length. Confirm your runner nominal length before ordering; mixing profile and runner lengths within one drawer is not supported by the system.
The Anthracite finish places this profile in the darker end of the AvanTech YOU color range. Anthracite reads as a near-black with warm gray undertones — distinct from a flat matte black and closer in character to a dark graphite. In a drawer with dark laminate or a painted interior, the profile disappears into the design. Against a light interior it makes a deliberate contrast statement. Either approach is intentional in current kitchen and closet design, and the finish is consistent with other Anthracite AvanTech YOU components so the drawer reads as a cohesive system from runner to front fixing to profile.
Material construction details beyond the color and finish are not confirmed in the available source data. As a Hettich AvanTech YOU component, it is engineered to the system's tolerances; for detailed material specifications, reference Hettich's AvanTech YOU technical documentation.
Cabinet shops running AvanTech YOU as a production drawer system need this profile when a client specifies illuminated drawers in a dark finish palette. It is not a generic accessory — specifying it means the project is already built around the AvanTech YOU platform, and the illumination function is part of the drawer design from the start rather than retrofitted. Designers specifying handle-less kitchens in anthracite or graphite tones will find this profile keeps the lighting element inside the design language of the drawer rather than visible as separate hardware. Contractors completing an AvanTech YOU install can source it as a matched system component to complete a kitchen where the illumination profiles were specified but not yet ordered.
No. Match the profile length to your runner nominal length. This profile is 400mm; if your runners are a different nominal length, order the corresponding profile size.
This is the design profile component of the AvanTech YOU Illumination series. Whether additional power, cabling, or control components are required depends on how the illumination system is configured in your build. Confirm the full AvanTech YOU Illumination component list with Hettich's technical documentation before specifying.
No. The AvanTech YOU Illumination Design Profile is engineered for the AvanTech YOU platform. It is not compatible with other Hettich series or other brands' drawer systems.
Against a light interior, Anthracite reads as a deliberate contrast accent — a dark profile line at the top of a bright drawer. Some designers choose this combination intentionally; others prefer to match Anthracite to a dark interior for a tonal look. Both are supported by the color.
When the project calls for illuminated AvanTech YOU drawers in an anthracite finish scheme, this profile keeps every element — runner, front fixing, and interior light — in the same coordinated system and the same finish family.
