This is a 36 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide from Fulterer, rated 220 lb per pair. The zinc-finished steel members carry a hold-in/hold-out detent system that keeps the drawer parked exactly where it belongs — closed or fully open — until intentionally moved.
At 36 inches, this slide is built for deep drawers — work benches, tool storage units, shop carts, and utility cabinets where a 24 inch slide would leave half the drawer inaccessible. Full extension means the back of a fully loaded 36 inch drawer comes out to the cabinet face. The hold-out detent is the differentiator: the drawer locks open at full extension so both hands stay free while loading, pulling stock, or digging through contents at the back. The hold-in detent handles the other end — once pushed shut, the drawer stays there. A loaded, wide drawer can bounce back open with force; the hold-in catches it every time.
This slide also works in bench seating, server-room pull-outs, and any install where a drawer must stay open without assistance and stay closed without a latch.
The members are cold-formed steel with a zinc finish, the standard corrosion-resistant coating for side-mount ball bearing slides in indoor environments. Zinc is a functional finish — it protects the steel through years of cycling under load and is largely hidden when the drawer is in use. This is not a decorative or stainless finish, and it is not rated for outdoor or wet environments.
The 3/4 inch side clearance per side is wider than the 1/2 inch clearance on standard cabinet-class slides in this segment. Build the drawer box 1-1/2 inches narrower than the cabinet opening to account for both slides. At 36 inches of nominal length, this slide suits deep base cabinets, shop furniture, and any application where the drawer depth matches the cabinet interior. The non-handed design means both slides in the pair are identical — order the quantity your drawer count requires, one pair per drawer. This slide is sold per pair.
Hold-in is a mechanical detent that keeps the drawer closed and prevents it from bouncing back open after a firm push. Hold-out is a detent that keeps the drawer in the fully extended position until intentionally pushed closed. Neither feature damps or springs the drawer — there is no soft-close and no self-close on this slide.
No. 36 inches is the closed length of the slide. Because this is a full-extension slide, the drawer member travels approximately the full slide length, bringing the entire drawer out to the cabinet face — but slide length and drawer travel are two separate specs.
The wider profile of a 220 lb class slide calls for more side clearance than a standard 100 lb cabinet slide. Size the drawer box 1-1/2 inches narrower than the opening — 3/4 inch per side — to ensure the slide operates without binding.
Side-mount slides need rear support in face-frame installations because the cabinet side is set back from the front frame. Use Fulterer-compatible rear mounting brackets for this series, sold separately.
This slide is sold as a pair — one pair installs one drawer.
When the drawer is deep, the load is heavy, and both hands need to be free at full open, this 36 inch Fulterer slide handles the job — rated at 220 lb per pair with detents that hold in both positions until you decide to move it.
