This is a 12 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide from GSlide's G-Slide series, rated 100 lb per pair, with a hold-in anti-rebound detent that keeps the drawer firmly closed until pulled.
Short drawers get closed hard. A spice drawer that gets nudged shut, a small shop drawer pushed with a hip, or a compact utility cabinet beside a workbench — in all of these, a plain free-sliding slide lets the drawer bounce back open and stay that way. The hold-in anti-rebound detent on this G-Slide catches the drawer at the closed position and holds it there. There is no spring pulling it shut and no damper slowing it down — just a mechanical catch that releases cleanly with a normal pull. It is the right closing feature for compact, high-use drawers where a rebound is an annoyance at best and a safety issue at worst in a shop setting.
The slide is cold-formed steel throughout, with ball bearings running in full-length raceways between the members. The zinc finish is the segment's standard indoor protection: functional, not decorative, and suited to cabinetry where the slide sits beside the open drawer and out of sight during normal use. This is an indoor slide for dry environments.
The 12 inch length suits drawers in wall cabinets, nightstands, small shop cabinets, base cabinets with a shallow interior, and compact utility cases where a longer slide simply will not fit. Full extension at 12 inches means the back of a shallow drawer comes all the way out — a practical advantage when the drawer is packed tightly. At 100 lb per pair, the G-Slide handles contents well beyond what a compact drawer typically holds. The non-handed design means no left/right sorting on the bench, which keeps installs moving on multi-drawer casework.
It holds — it does not pull. Push the drawer to within the capture zone and the detent engages to keep it closed. It is not a self-close spring and not a soft-close damper; the drawer does not assist itself shut.
No. The 12 inch measurement is the closed slide length. Because this is a full-extension slide, the drawer travels approximately its full length — so a drawer box built to match a 12 inch slide will come all the way out to the cabinet face.
No. The G-Slide is non-handed, so both slides in a pair are identical. Order the quantity your drawer count requires.
Side-mount slides in face-frame cabinets need rear support at the back of the cabinet where the slide has no panel to fasten to. Add rear mounting brackets for a clean, supported install — brackets are sold separately and should be matched to this slide series.
Leave 1/2 inch per side. Build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the cabinet opening to give each slide its required clearance.
At 12 inches with full extension and a hold-in anti-rebound detent, this G-Slide handles the shallow drawers in your build where bounce-back matters and every inch of drawer depth counts.
