Fulterer FR5045 28" Hold-In/Anti-Rebound Side Mount Full Extension 100 lb Ball Bearing Drawer Slide, Zinc, 5269

28 Inch Full-Extension Drawer Slide Built to Stay Put

This Fulterer 5269 is a 28 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide in a zinc finish, rated 100 lb per pair, with a hold-in anti-rebound detent that keeps the closed drawer from bouncing back open. It is a workhorse slide for kitchen, shop, garage, and office drawers where reliable closing behavior matters as much as smooth travel.

Key Features

• 100 lb load rating per pair — handles a fully loaded kitchen, utility, or shop drawer with room to spare.
• Full extension — the entire drawer clears the cabinet face, putting every inch of the interior within reach.
• Hold-in anti-rebound detent — a mechanical catch keeps the drawer closed once pushed shut, stopping bounce-back without a spring or damper.
• Non-handed design — both slides in the pair are identical, so there is no left/right sorting on the bench.
• Zinc-finished steel construction — standard indoor corrosion protection on cold-formed steel members.
• 1/2 inch side clearance per side — matches the industry-standard clearance for side-mount ball bearing slides.

Where the Hold-In Detent Makes the Difference

A standard free-sliding drawer stops wherever it is left. Push it hard and it may rebound a few inches before settling — a nuisance in a busy kitchen and a real problem in a shop or garage where vibration can work a drawer open over time. The hold-in anti-rebound detent on this slide clicks the drawer closed mechanically. The drawer stays closed until pulled intentionally. There is no spring assist and no damped slowing — the detent simply holds. That makes this slide a practical choice for utility cabinetry, workshop storage, and any drawer that sits in a high-traffic area where a hard close is the norm.

At 28 inches, this is a longer slide suited to deep cabinets: base cabinets with full-depth drawers, shop benches with storage below the work surface, and garage or utility cabinets where drawer depth is rarely a constraint. Full extension means the entire drawer comes out to the cabinet face, so nothing at the back is hidden behind the opening.

Zinc Finish on Steel That Works

The zinc finish is electroplated over cold-formed steel — the standard protective coating for side-mount ball bearing slides intended for indoor use. It is a functional finish, not a decorative one. The slide sits beside the drawer box and is mostly out of sight during normal use. Zinc handles the humidity swings of a kitchen or the occasional splash in a utility room without rusting through. It is not a stainless or outdoor finish; keep this slide in dry, indoor installations.

Who This Slide Fits

The 5269 is well matched to cabinet shops and contractors building or renovating kitchens and utility rooms with standard 100 lb duty requirements. At 28 inches, it suits full-depth base cabinets and deep storage drawers where shorter slides would leave the drawer undersupported. The non-handed format means one SKU covers both sides of every drawer, which simplifies ordering for shops building multiple cabinets at a time. Homeowners retrofitting existing cabinetry get the same benefit — no guessing which is left and which is right.

For face-frame cabinets, the slide needs rear support at the back end. Add the appropriate series rear mounting brackets, sold separately, to bridge the setback between the cabinet side and the face frame.
