This Knape and Vogt SH Series scissor hinge is the hardware that mounts to a sink false front, letting a tip-out tray swing open for access and return closed on its own without a second thought.
A tip-out tray in front of a kitchen sink stores sponges, brushes, and small tools in the otherwise dead space behind the false drawer front. The hinge is what makes that front functional: it pivots the panel out when pulled and, with this SH Series hardware, brings it back closed under its own spring tension. There is no fumbling to latch the front shut after reaching into the tray. The tab stop is part of that same workflow: it catches the front at the open position so the tray stays steady while both hands are busy at the sink.
