A Deep-Profile Drawer System for Tall Storage Needs

The Grass Zargen 6436 drawer side and slide kit pairs an 8-3/8 inch metal side profile with a 20-1/16 inch slide in White Epoxy, delivering a single-wall metal drawer system sized for deep cabinet bays where a low-profile drawer side would waste the available height.

Key Features

• 8-3/8 inch side height — one of the tallest profiles in the Zargen line, suited for pantry pull-outs, tall pot drawers, and deep-cabinet applications.
• 20-1/16 inch nominal length — a mid-range depth that works in standard base cabinets without trimming or extension hardware.
• 100 lb weight capacity — handles heavy kitchen loads, stacked dishes, and full pantry contents.
• 3/4 extension — opens the drawer most of the way out, providing good access to contents in everyday-use drawers.
• White Epoxy finish — a durable, hard-wearing coating that resists chips and scratches in production cabinet environments.
• Sold as a kit — the side profile and slide arrive together as a matched set, ready to build into your drawer box.

Where This System Fits

The 8-3/8 inch side height makes this Zargen kit a natural fit for applications where standard-height drawer sides leave too much dead space: tall pantry pull-outs, deep pots-and-pans drawers, and base cabinets with generous interior height. At 20-1/16 inches of nominal length, it drops into most standard base cabinets without modification. The 3/4 extension brings the bulk of the drawer content to the cabinet opening — practical for everyday kitchen drawers where a full-extension ride is not required. The 100 lb capacity supports stacked cookware, canned goods, or dense shop storage without complaint.

Construction and Finish

Zargen sides are formed metal — a single-wall steel profile that replaces a wood drawer side and integrates the running gear in one piece. The White Epoxy finish is applied over the metal and cured hard, resisting the scuffs and moisture that come with production kitchen use. White Epoxy coordinates with white cabinet interiors and complements melamine drawer boxes without requiring a painted finish on the wood components. This is not a double-walled system; the single-wall profile is the economy choice in the Grass drawer system lineup, giving solid performance at a price suited to production volume work.

Who Reaches for This Kit

Cabinet shops running white-finish production kitchens reach for this kit when they need a taller drawer profile than the entry-level Zargen heights offer, without moving up to a premium double-wall platform. The White Epoxy finish and metal side construction hold up through high-turnover residential and light commercial builds. Designers specifying pantry pull-outs and tall utility drawers will find the 8-3/8 inch profile spans the cabinet height efficiently. Contractors and millwork installers sourcing a replacement or completing a Zargen-based build should confirm the nominal length and height code match the existing drawer design before ordering.

The Right Height for the Right Drawer

When cabinet depth and content height drive the spec, the Zargen 6436's 8-3/8 inch profile in White Epoxy puts a durable, production-ready drawer system where a shorter side would leave the cabinet underserved.
