Tall Side Height and a Clean White Finish for Painted and Laminate Casework

The Grass Zargen drawer side and slide kit combines a single-wall steel side profile with an integrated runner in a white epoxy finish, sized for drawers up to 21-5/8 inches deep with an 8-3/8 inch side height. This kit is the natural choice when a taller drawer interior and a coordinated white finish are both non-negotiable on the same project.

Key Features

• 8-3/8 inch side height gives the drawer interior more usable vertical space than standard-height side profiles.
• 100 lb weight capacity handles loaded kitchen, pantry, and shop drawers with confidence.
• 21-5/8 inch nominal length suits the cabinet depths common in kitchen and bath base cabinet runs.
• 3/4 extension opens the drawer to approximately three-quarters of its depth — a reliable, cost-effective travel range for most storage applications.
• White epoxy finish on the steel profile coordinates with white painted cabinetry, laminate interiors, and white drawer fronts.
• Metal construction holds its shape under repeated loading without the flex associated with wood drawer sides.

Where the Taller Side Profile Makes a Difference

The 8-3/8 inch side height suits deeper storage drawers where a low-profile side would leave the contents uncontained — think base cabinet pantry pull-outs storing canned goods, tall spice jars, or boxed goods that standard-height sides would let tip. It also pairs well with taller drawer fronts in contemporary slab-door kitchens, where the visual proportion between front and box matters. The 3/4 extension opens the drawer far enough for everyday access to the front two-thirds of the interior; if complete access to the rear of the drawer is the priority, a full-extension runner would be the right move.

Finish and Construction

The white epoxy coating on the steel profile is the defining detail for finish-sensitive projects. Where drawer interiors are visible — open-shelf units, glass-front cabinets, or kitchens with light-colored painted interiors — a white-finished side reads as intentional rather than industrial. The single-wall steel construction keeps the profile slim while the metal core maintains structural integrity across the 100 lb rated capacity. Grass engineered the Zargen side and runner as a matched system, so the runner geometry and side profile work together rather than pairing a generic slide to a separate box component.

Who Reaches for This Kit

Cabinet shops building white-finish kitchens and bath vanities reach for this kit when the drawer interior finish matters as much as the mechanism. Designers specifying painted or thermofoil cabinetry will find the white profile eliminates the need to finish raw drawer sides after assembly. Contractors installing base cabinets with taller storage drawers get a drawer side and runner in one ordered SKU rather than sourcing sides and slides separately. This is a Zargen system component — replacement parts, front fixings, and accessories should come from the Zargen program to ensure fit.

A White Drawer System That Keeps the Interior Looking Finished

The 8-3/8 inch Zargen side in white epoxy lets you build a taller, better-contained drawer that looks right from the front and from the inside — no raw steel, no mismatched finish, no compromises on capacity.
