This is the 16 inch (400mm) rectangular side railing set for the Grass Nova Pro Scala drawer system, finished in Ice. It mounts above the drawer side profile to increase effective side height, retain taller contents, and give the drawer a finished, furniture-grade appearance — all within the Nova Pro Scala platform.
Gallery rails like this one solve a specific problem: a low-profile drawer side keeps the box slim, but some drawer contents need a taller wall to stay put. Adding a rectangular railing above the 400mm Nova Pro Scala side profile raises the effective containment height without swapping out the side or changing the runner configuration. That makes it useful for deep pantry pull-outs, plate drawers, and anywhere a single open drawer needs to hold items that would otherwise tip or slide when the drawer opens. It also creates a clean visual border across the top of the drawer interior, which matters in glass-front or open-face cabinet applications.
The Ice finish is one of the coordinated color options in the Nova Pro Scala program, designed to read as a unified interior when paired with Ice-finished side profiles, front fixings, and cover caps. The rectangular cross-section is a deliberate design choice: flat faces reflect light evenly and align with the linear geometry of contemporary cabinet interiors better than a round tube profile. This railing is engineered for the Nova Pro Scala system and is not a universal gallery rail. It mounts using Nova Pro Scala-specific hardware; do not assume cross-system compatibility with other Grass platforms or other brands.
Cabinet shops specifying Nova Pro Scala for a full kitchen run will need railing sets wherever a drawer carries tall or bulky contents. Designers working with open or lighted upper cabinets will appreciate the Ice finish for its ability to keep the drawer interior looking intentional rather than utilitarian. Contractors completing a frameless kitchen install can use the railing to handle the few deep drawers in a run without switching systems. For any of those scenarios, the 400mm length keys directly to the same nominal-length components already in the build — no cutting, no adapting.
The listing describes it as a railing set. Verify the exact count per package against the structured spec on this page, and confirm how many sets you need for your drawer count before ordering.
No. Gallery rails and side profiles should match nominal length within the same system. The 400mm railing pairs with 400mm Nova Pro Scala components. Order the corresponding length for other nominal sizes.
This railing is made for Nova Pro Scala and mounts with Nova Pro Scala-specific hardware. It is not a universal Grass accessory and should not be used with other platforms.
Tavinea Optima divider rails and rail holders are offered in coordinated Nova Pro Scala finishes including Ice. Check the Tavinea Optima finish options against this railing's Ice spec to confirm the match before combining them in one drawer interior.
When the drawer system is already Nova Pro Scala and the finish is Ice, this rectangular side railing adds containment height and a finished top edge without introducing a mismatched component into the build.
