Gallery Railing That Disappears Into the Interior

This 18 inch (450mm) rectangular side railing from Grass's Nova Pro Scala drawer system adds above-side retention and a finished interior edge to Nova Pro Scala drawers in an Ice finish. It is a system component — designed specifically for Nova Pro Scala and sized to the 450mm nominal length.

Key Features

• Ice finish coordinates with Nova Pro Scala's light interior palette, keeping the railing visually quiet against white and pale-toned drawer sides.
• Rectangular profile provides a clean, flat upper edge rather than a rounded tube, which suits contemporary and handleless kitchen designs.
• 18 inch (450mm) nominal length matches directly to the 450mm Nova Pro Scala drawer runner and side set, so no cutting or fitting adjustment is needed.
• Sold as a set — both side rails are included, completing the left and right railing positions for one drawer.
• Nova Pro Scala-specific — engineered as part of the Grass platform; not a universal gallery rail that crosses brands or series.

Where the Ice Railing Fits Best

Ice is the lightest tone in the Nova Pro Scala railing program, and it works hardest in drawers where the interior needs to read bright and open. Think white-lacquered kitchens, light-laminate bathroom vanities, or any installation where the cabinetmaker is keeping the box interior consistent with a pale or white overall palette. The railing sits above the drawer side and retains taller contents — pots, rolled towels, pantry canisters — that a low-profile side alone would not hold. For pantry pull-outs and deep storage drawers where the visual break between the box and the railing needs to stay subtle, an Ice railing against a white or near-white interior becomes nearly invisible.

System-Matched Construction

The rectangular profile is a Grass design choice specific to Nova Pro Scala: the flat upper face gives divider rails and Tavinea Optima organization components a square reference edge when they span the drawer. Ice is a consistent finish across the Nova Pro Scala accessory family, so this railing matches the side profile, gallery, and Tavinea Optima dividers ordered in the same color. The railing is steel, finished to the same tolerance as the rest of the Nova Pro Scala line — the source lists Ice as the confirmed finish; material details beyond steel are not specified in the product data.

Who Orders This Part

Cabinet shops running Nova Pro Scala in lighter-finish kitchens reach for the Ice railing when a tall-content drawer needs a gallery wall that disappears rather than contrasts. Designers specifying handleless kitchens in Scandinavian or minimalist styles often call Ice out alongside white or light-gray fronts because it holds the interior palette together. Contractors completing a punch list or replacing a damaged rail on an existing install need to match the railing color precisely — Ice is a distinct finish that cannot be substituted with Silver or Stone without a visible mismatch at the installed drawer side.

The Right Component for a Cohesive Interior

Matching the railing finish to the Nova Pro Scala interior from the start avoids a visible mismatch that stands out every time the drawer opens. Ice keeps the light-palette build consistent from side to bottom to rail — the kind of detail that separates a finished install from an assembled one.
