A Low-Profile Metal Drawer Side Built for White Cabinet Interiors

The Grass Zargen 6035 drawer side and slide kit pairs a 1-11/16 inch steel side profile with an integrated running mechanism in a single unit, giving you the structure and motion hardware for one drawer in a clean White finish. At 13-3/4 inches nominal length and rated at 100 lb, this kit suits shallow-depth cabinets where a taller side profile would eat into usable drawer space.

Key Features

• Integrated side-and-slide construction — the steel side profile and slide mechanism ship as one kit, so there are no separate runner components to source or match.
• 100 lb weight capacity — handles everyday drawer loads from utensils to pantry goods without flex or drag.
• 1-11/16 inch side height — a low profile that keeps the drawer wall slim and leaves the interior open for contents or a full-height front.
• 13-3/4 inch nominal length — sized for compact or shallow cabinet runs where a standard 18 or 21 inch depth does not fit.
• White epoxy finish — a painted metal surface that blends into white-interior frameless cabinets and matches coordinating Zargen accessories.
• Zargen system compatibility — designed as part of the Grass Zargen 6035 platform, so fronts, back panels, and accessories are engineered to work together.

Where This Drawer Side Fits the Job

This kit is the right pick when you need a short-run drawer in a space-constrained cabinet — a shallow upper drawer in a base unit, a narrow utility drawer in a bathroom vanity, or a compact organizational drawer in a laundry or mudroom cabinet. The 13-3/4 inch nominal length works where the cabinet's interior depth simply does not have room for a 16 or 18 inch side. It also suits production shops that want the efficiency of an all-in-one side-and-slide unit rather than assembling a wood box and a separate undermount or side-mount slide. Because the side and mechanism arrive as a kit, the number of SKUs to track per drawer drops to one instead of two or three.

Finish and Construction

The side profile is steel, finished in White epoxy — not a powder coat or vinyl wrap, but an oven-cured epoxy layer that resists chipping and holds color through frequent use. White is the traditional Zargen interior finish for frameless kitchen and bath cabinetry, and it coordinates with white melamine drawer bottoms and white-painted cabinet boxes without introducing a contrast edge. The material throughout is metal, so the side wall does not swell with humidity the way a solid wood or plywood box side can, making it a dependable choice in kitchens and baths where moisture is a factor.

Who Reaches for This Kit

Cabinet shops running a Zargen-based production line are the core user — this SKU adds a short-length option to a drawer program that may already include longer Zargen sides in the same White finish, letting one system cover shallow and deep drawers across a project. Kitchen designers specifying frameless European-style cabinetry will find the White finish and low profile consistent with the clean interior aesthetic that style demands. Contractors replacing an existing Zargen drawer need the matching Zargen 6035 side to keep the system intact; swapping in a different brand's component means the front fixings, back panel, and cover caps no longer fit the same holes.

The Right Side for a Short-Depth Drawer

When the cabinet depth calls for a compact drawer and the interior finish is white, the Zargen 6035 side-and-slide kit delivers the structure, capacity, and finish in one coordinated unit — without the complexity of mixing systems or sourcing components separately.
