This Salice Series 200 hinge opens to 165 degrees for near-flat door clearance on full overlay face-frame and frameless cabinets, with a free-swinging action and dowel-mount cup for production-line installation.
A standard 110-degree swing is fine for most cabinets, but there are jobs where it is not enough. Corner cabinets, island cabinets with doors that face a traffic path, and display cases all benefit from a door that folds back nearly flat against the cabinet side. At 165 degrees, this hinge delivers that clearance, letting a door step almost completely out of the way. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door, and the arm connects to a Salice base plate on the cabinet, ordered separately. On doors that will sit open for extended periods, the free-swinging design means the door stays wherever it is placed with no spring tension pushing back against it.
The hinge is plated steel in a nickel finish. Nickel holds a clean, neutral look alongside stainless appliances, light wood tones, and contemporary hardware palettes without drawing attention to itself inside the cabinet. At this opening angle, free-swinging is the only closing type available. If a quieter, cushioned close matters more than the wide swing, the 110-degree Silentia+ soft-close version of the Series 200 line is the right direction instead.
The dowel-mount cup is aimed squarely at production environments. Where a CNC bores door blanks to a standard pattern before they reach the assembly line, dowel-mount cups press in without cup screws, cutting steps off the install. This hinge works on both frameless and face-frame cabinets, so a shop running mixed cabinet types can standardize on one hinge for the wide-angle positions. Pair it with a Salice base plate matched to your cabinet and door position. For doors in the standard 16 to 22mm thickness range; doors thicker than 22mm need a thick-door hinge with a deeper cup.
Yes. The hinge arm connects to a base plate that mounts to the cabinet side or face-frame stile, and that plate is sold separately. Use a Salice plate matched to your cabinet type and desired door position.
Free-swinging means there is no spring and no damper. The door does not pull itself shut and does not cushion the close. It stays where you put it. To keep the door closed, a magnetic catch or other retainer is typically needed.
A soft-close adapter would need to be confirmed compatible with this Series 200 free-swinging hinge. At 165 degrees, integrated soft-close is not available in this product line. If a damped close is the priority, choose a hinge in the 110-degree Silentia+ range instead.
Salice plates are series-specific. Use plates confirmed for the Series 200 line. Plates from other brands will not connect to this hinge.
Specify this hinge when a full overlay door needs to swing almost flat and stay there, on face-frame or frameless cabinets, with a nickel finish that steps back and lets the cabinetry lead.
