This Salice Series 200 concealed hinge brings a 165 degree opening to 1/2 inch overlay doors on both face-frame and frameless cabinets, with a self-close spring and dowel mounting for production-ready installation.
Most concealed hinges stop at 110 degrees, which is enough for everyday access. This hinge swings to 165 degrees, bringing the door close to parallel with the cabinet side. That matters wherever interior clearance is the priority: pantry-style tall cabinets where full access to back shelves is essential, appliance garages where the door needs to fold well out of the way, and base cabinets in corners or against walls where a standard-angle door would limit reach. The 1/2 inch overlay and half crank are the right geometry for pairs of doors on a shared center partition, so both doors have room to open fully without arms interfering. The hinge clips to a Salice base plate on the cabinet, sold separately, and Salice plates are specific to this brand.
The hinge body is steel, finished in nickel. Nickel sits between the warm tones of brass and the cooler look of chrome, which makes it a practical choice when the project's pulls, knobs, or drawer slides are already in a brushed or satin nickel family. Because the hinge is concealed when the door is closed, finish consistency is most visible during installation and on any open-door display. The dowel mount cup attaches to the door through pre-bored 8mm dowel holes without cup screws, which removes a step in production lines and CNC-bored door shops. Height and side adjustment is built into the arm, so doors can be squared up after the cabinet is installed.
Cabinet shops running CNC-bored doors will recognize the dowel mount as the faster path: press the cup in, clip to the plate, done. The 165 degree opening is specific enough that a designer or specifier is usually calling for it by intent, not by default, so this hinge tends to show up on drawings for pantry cabinets, display cabinets, and open-plan kitchens where a door left at 110 degrees would interrupt the sightline. It works on face-frame and frameless boxes, so a mixed-construction project does not need two different hinges for the same overlay. For a damped, cushioned close instead of a spring pull, the Silentia soft-close version in this series is the one to quote alongside it.
Hinge count comes from the manufacturer load table based on door height, width, and weight, not from the opening angle. Use the Salice load table for the exact count for your door.
No. This is a self-close hinge: the spring pulls the door shut once it is within the closing range. It does not cushion or slow the close. For a damped, quiet close, choose the Silentia soft-close version of this series.
A Salice base plate, sold separately, matched to your cabinet type and the overlay position you need. Plates are brand-specific and Salice plates are not interchangeable with plates from other manufacturers.
This is a standard concealed hinge sized for doors in the 16 to 22mm range. For doors thicker than 22mm, a thick-door hinge is the right choice.
When the design calls for maximum door clearance at a 1/2 inch overlay, on face-frame or frameless cabinets, this Salice Series 200 hinge delivers it with a self-close spring and a finish that integrates cleanly with the rest of the hardware.
