This Rev-A-Shelf 6581 Series sink tip-out tray converts the false drawer front below a kitchen or bath sink into a working storage compartment, giving you a dedicated spot for sponges, scrubbers, and small cleaning tools right where you use them.
The cabinet run below most kitchen sinks includes a false drawer front that looks like a drawer but does not open. This tray converts that space into real storage by mounting to the inside of that front and tipping outward on hinges. The result is a shallow, accessible tray that sits at counter height, right in front of the sink, where sponges, a dish brush, or a pair of rubber gloves can live without taking up cabinet space below or counter space above. Because the storage faces you while you work at the sink, nothing gets buried.
The tray is stainless steel, which handles the wet conditions of a sink surround without showing rust or staining over time. It tolerates repeated contact with damp sponges and cleaning tools without degrading. The self-close hinge mechanism brings the tray back to flush on its own once released, so the false front stays closed and the sink base looks like the rest of the cabinet run. This version does not include a tab stop, so the interior of the tray is a single open channel with no divider breaking up the storage space.
This tray is a practical fit for kitchen renovations and cabinet shop builds where the sink base has a false front that currently serves no function. Designers specifying hardware for a new kitchen will find the stainless finish coordinates naturally with stainless appliances, undermount sinks, and brushed metal cabinet hardware. For a bathroom vanity with a false front below the basin, the same logic applies. The 25-inch length suits a wide sink base; measure the usable width of the false front before ordering to confirm fit.
When you tip the tray open to grab something and let go, the self-close hinge returns the tray to its closed, flush position on its own. You do not have to push the front shut.
A tab stop is a small bumper that limits how far the tray tips out, preventing it from swinging past a comfortable access angle. This SKU does not include a tab stop. If your installation requires an angle limiter, look for a configuration that includes one.
The tray is 25 inches long and 3 inches tall. Measure the usable interior width of your false front and the clearance behind it to the sink basin hardware before ordering.
Stainless steel wipes down easily and resists the moisture and soap contact typical of a sink location. The open tray design has no hidden corners that trap debris.
Choose this stainless steel sink tip-out tray to put a false drawer front to work, adding practical under-sink storage with a self-close return and a finish that holds up where other materials would not.
