The Fulterer 75081 is a 10 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide with integrated soft-close damping, rated 100 lb per pair and finished in zinc. It is sized for shallow cabinets, spice drawers, bathroom vanities, and any narrow drawer box where a short slide with genuine soft-close action is the right call.
Most side-mount ball bearing slides start at 12 or 14 inches, which is longer than many compact cabinet applications actually need. Spice pull-outs, bathroom vanity drawers, small utility cabinets, and island toe-kick drawers all have shallow interior depths where a 10 inch slide fits cleanly and a longer one does not. Full extension at this length means the whole drawer clears the opening — useful when the box is shallow and every inch of interior depth counts. The soft-close feature carries the same value here as it does on a full-size kitchen drawer: quiet, controlled closing that takes the wear off the cabinet box and the face frame over thousands of cycles.
The zinc finish on these slides is electroplated over cold-formed steel, the working standard for indoor side-mount ball bearing hardware. It protects the steel members through daily use without adding bulk or visual weight. Zinc is a functional finish — these slides sit beside the drawer box when the drawer is open, not on display — and it holds up reliably in dry, interior environments. This is not a decorative or stainless finish and is suited for indoor cabinetry.
Build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the cabinet opening to leave 1/2 inch of side clearance for each slide. The 10 inch nominal length suits drawer boxes built to that depth; measure the cabinet interior depth before ordering to confirm the fit. In face-frame cabinets, rear mounting brackets are required to support the back of the slide — brackets are series-specific and sold separately. Cabinet shops running production spice-drawer programs or vanity drawer packages will find the non-handed format cuts sorting time at the bench. Homeowners replacing a worn slide in a compact cabinet get a drop-in soft-close upgrade without a layout change.
True soft-close — an integrated damper slows the drawer over the last portion of closing travel. It is not a spring-loaded self-close, which can still slam.
No. Ten inches is the closed length of the slide. Full extension means the drawer member travels approximately its full length, bringing the entire drawer box out to the cabinet face. Slide length and travel are two separate facts.
No. The slide is non-handed, so both pieces in the pair are identical and fit either side of the drawer.
This listing is for one pair of slides. Order one pair per drawer.
Yes. In face-frame construction the cabinet side is set back from the front frame, so the slide needs rear support. Rear mounting brackets are sold separately and must match this series.
The Fulterer 75081 delivers the same soft-close quality found on full-size kitchen drawers in a 10 inch package built for the compact drawer applications that shorter cabinets demand — with honest full extension and a 100 lb rating that covers real-world loads.
