This is a 14 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide from Fulterer's soft-close line, rated 100 lb per pair. The zinc finish blends into the cabinet interior while the integrated damper settles every drawer shut without slamming — a practical combination for kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and utility drawers where a clean install and quiet operation both matter.
A 14 inch slide is sized for shallower drawers: spice pull-outs, bathroom vanity drawers, small utility cabinets, and upper cabinet drawers where the box depth runs between roughly 12 and 14 inches. Full extension means the whole drawer comes clear of the opening — unlike a 3/4-extension slide, you can reach the back of the drawer without digging past the cabinet face. The soft-close damper is especially useful in these frequently opened drawers, where the difference between a slammed close and a quiet one gets noticed dozens of times a day.
The slide is cold-formed steel with a zinc electroplate finish — the workhorse combination for side-mount ball bearing slides used indoors. Zinc protects the steel members from the humidity and light moisture typical of kitchens and bathrooms without adding unnecessary cost to a functional finish that spends most of its life tucked beside a drawer box. This is not a decorative or stainless finish; it is a dependable protective coating suited to dry, interior cabinetry.
This slide suits cabinetmakers and contractors building or renovating residential kitchens, bath vanities, and built-ins where 14 inch drawer depth is the spec and soft-close closing is expected. Designers specifying handle-less or minimalist interiors will find the zinc finish unobtrusive. At 100 lb per pair, it is also a solid choice for small shop drawers and office pedestals in the same depth range. The non-handed design keeps the install straightforward: no left/right distinction means one SKU covers both sides of every drawer in the project.
Build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the cabinet opening to provide the required 1/2 inch clearance on each side. In face-frame cabinets, rear mounting brackets are needed to support the back of the slide; those brackets are series-specific and sold separately.
True soft-close. An integrated damper slows the drawer over the last portion of its closing travel, settling it shut quietly. There is no undamped spring pulling it closed.
Because this is a full-extension slide, the drawer travels its full length and clears the cabinet face completely. The 14 inch figure is the closed length of the slide, not the travel distance — but on a full-extension model, those are effectively the same.
No. Side-mount ball bearing slides are installed in pairs, one on each side of the drawer box. The 100 lb rating applies to the pair working together.
Yes. In a face-frame cabinet the back of the slide needs rear mounting support — fixed or adjustable rear brackets sold separately. The brackets must match this series; universal brackets are not a reliable substitute.
The zinc finish is a metallic silver tone. It is largely hidden alongside the drawer box during normal use, but if the cabinet interior is white or a light color, a white-finished slide may blend better. Check available finish options in the product family.
Short-depth drawers get opened constantly, and every slam is a reminder the hardware is wrong. A 14 inch soft-close slide rated at 100 lb per pair keeps those high-traffic drawers quiet, fully accessible, and properly supported through years of daily use.
