This is a 20 inch full-extension side-mount ball bearing drawer slide from Fulterer's soft-close line, rated 100 lb per pair in a bright zinc finish. The integrated damper settles the drawer shut quietly without any slamming, making it a clean upgrade for kitchen, bath, and utility cabinet work.
At 20 inches, this slide suits the deep drawers common in base cabinets — spice pull-outs, full-depth storage drawers beneath a cooktop, and utility drawers in a mudroom or laundry cabinet. Full extension means every inch of the drawer's interior is accessible without tilting or reaching blind into the back. The soft-close action is especially valuable in kitchens where drawers close frequently and slam noise wears on the household. It also fits well in bathroom vanities where the drawer depth runs longer than the typical 18 inch configuration.
Zinc plating is the standard protective finish for side-mount ball bearing slides because it resists the light moisture and humidity of a kitchen or bathroom interior without adding cost. The bright zinc appearance is neutral — it reads as a clean metallic finish inside the cabinet opening and does not call attention to the hardware when the drawer is open. This is an indoor finish suited for dry cabinet interiors; it is not rated for exterior or high-moisture environments.
This slide fits cabinet shops running standard base cabinet depths, designers specifying kitchen hardware packages, and homeowners replacing slides in an existing cabinet build. The 1/2 inch side clearance per side is the industry-standard setup: build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the cabinet opening and both slides seat without shimming. The slide is non-handed, so ordering is simple — one quantity covers a complete drawer. In face-frame cabinets, rear mounting brackets are required at the back of the slide; those brackets are sold separately and are series-specific, so confirm compatibility before ordering.
It is a true soft-close: an integrated damper catches the drawer and slows it to a controlled, silent stop. It is not an undamped spring that pulls the drawer shut.
No — 20 inches is the closed length of the slide. Because this is a full-extension design, the drawer travels approximately its full length clear of the cabinet opening, but slide length and drawer travel are two separate specs.
The slide uses a disconnect mechanism that releases the drawer member so the box can be pulled free. Consult the installation sheet included with the slides for the exact release procedure on this series.
No. The slide is non-handed, so each slide in the pair fits either side of the drawer. Order one pair per drawer.
Face-frame cabinets require rear mounting brackets to support the back end of the slide. Brackets are not included and are series-specific — confirm the correct bracket for this Fulterer series before placing the order.
A 20 inch zinc soft-close slide handles the deep-drawer work in a standard base cabinet build: full access to the rear of the drawer, quiet closing on every cycle, and a non-handed design that cuts installation time without sacrificing performance.
